👩‍🔬 Biochemistry: nutrition, supplements, prescriptions and the Vagus Nerve.
 
🤨 Many people are unaware that taking certain over the counter (OTC) medications and prescriptions can interrupt the Vagus Nerve’s ability to function. Today’s focus will be on OTC’s.
 
🤧 One of the biggest culprits (but not the only one) is antihistamines, which is a problem, because we live in the allergy capital of the world - Austin. 

😶‍🌫️ If you’re taking antihistamines and experiencing brain fog, constipation, dry mouth, blurred vision, drowsiness or chronic fatigue, chances are the antihistamines are interfering with your Vagus nerve.    
 
👩🏼‍⚕️ I had a patient who suffered from severe brain fog and fatigue for months and months. After many different providers and doctors, she ended up getting the Wellness Consult. 
 
⚡️ She had three prescriptions, plus a few OTC products that all had anticholinergic side effects which negatively affect the Vagus nerve.

🔸 She had NAFLD, or Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease. She had two providers do labs and concur the diagnosis. 
 
🔸 Within 5 weeks after her Energetics session, her labs showed that all of her liver makers were back within normal limits!
