Grab these 5 household items to make these dye and dry leaves before we jump straight into Mariah season 🎶

All you need is:
• coffee filters
• food dye
• water
• marker
• scissors

🍁 In Texas, we don’t get as much of a vibrant color change during the few days of fall weather we get per year. These coffee filter leaves were just the ticket for a quick seasonal decor project that kids of all ages could make.

🛍️ And check out that tree made with reused paper grocery bags!

Make the fun accessible to all with these quick and easy considerations 🙇‍♂️

1. Costumes are uncomfortable, not mandatory - let’s focus on the fact that families are trying to have a fun time together rather than someone not being dressed up

2. Talking is not the only way to communicate - allow time for processing things that are said and for formulating responses (whether they be verbal or nonverbal)

3. Approaching a stranger’s house is already a pretty involved demand, not to mention when the path is uneven, unfamiliar, and crowded with others - consider stepping out or sitting in the driveway to be more accessible for others; you can also pre-bag treats and even help put the treats into buckets or bags for others

4. The Teal Pumpkin Project was created to make treats more accessible for those that have allergies/sensitivities - even better because non-edible treats are less likely to expire

Spooky stories for your little goblins and ghouls 😈🎃

Don’t have these books at home? No problem! Our ▶️ YouTube channel provides free stories read aloud by speech therapists that are available all year long.

📖 Many of these books are widely used when reading with children during this time of year. Some are classics and others are newer releases - all are entertaining for children and provide interactive opportunities while reading with their parents.

Fall fun for the family to boost language development for the little ones 🍁

🎃 Get out there for some pumpkins, play, and progress!

🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Family outings provide an opportunity for kids to describe the world in their own words.

🎪 Pumpkin patches and festivals are plentiful during the fall when the weather starts cooling down and the holidays near. Let the fun family experiences create rich learning moments for speech and language development.

VOCABULARY TARGETS:
• Pumpkin, apple, corn
• Big, small, in, out
• Orange, red, yellow, brown
• Warm, cold, cool
• Pick, ride, bounce, pull

For any of our fellow Texans - the location pictured here is located in Poteet. If you’re near the area, it’s worth a stop. They have a well known annual Strawberry Festival that takes place when they’re in season (typically April) as well.

Celebrating milestones is part of our everyday lives as speech therapists that work with kids.

It’s a privilege to be a resource to the thousand families we have connected with so far and we look forward to connecting with so many more to continue our mission —

To educate and equip busy parents with everyday tools to promote their child’s academic and social success.

Help us reach more families by sharing with your friends and family. It not only helps a small business; it also lets us be accessible to more families in need of our help.
