Today I had to stop and prioritize myself and my own wellbeing both physically & emotionally. I am always telling my clients to prioritize themselves and give themselves grace and permission to disconnect and focus on themselves.
The last few weeks have been trying emotionally dealing with personal & family issues as well as showing up and being present for my clients & of course running a business. Today I hit a wall and decided this evening I would take time to myself and meditate and do a full body scan checking in with my body allowing myself to reconnect and prioritize me. Taking time to reflect on how my body is processing the elements and emotions of the world around me. As a person who suffers from chronic pain the the stress & chaos of the environment around me affects me differently doing a full body scan helps to determine where my pain lingers and allows me to set my intentions to let go of stress in the specific areas focused intentional breathing increasing blood flow throughout my body releasing dopamine and decreasing cortisol allowing the body the ability to relax and repair.
đź’•When is the last time you checked in with your body?
đź’• Take time today to set 10 minutes to yourself. Lay on the floor in a quiet place. Silence your phone and begin.
đź’•Inhale through your nose exhale through your mouth.
đź’•Start at the top of your head and slowly work down to your feet.
💕 As you’re scanning take pause at the sensations you may be feeling in any area acknowledging any feelings of anxiety, depression or discomfort breathing slowly focusing on that area briefly as those feelings dissolve with every exhale and move on.
💕Once you’ve completed your scan allow your self to lay still hands palms down allowing your body to essentially ground itself. Set your intention as you continue to breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth each exhale releasing negativity anxiety & depression.
Each inhale brings in positive energy & thoughts.
