Washington State was set to hear SB 6146 creating a new "oral preventive assistant" role – unlicensed workers performing RDH services. WDHA was ready on the defense! After strong, unified opposition from the dental hygiene community, the bill was pulled from the agenda. Allowing unlicensed roles to do our work isn’t the answer to workforce challenges.

Today, WDHA was at the capitol in Olympia for their “Day on the Hill”, shifting to offense. That’s how organized advocacy is done!💜 Congratulations!
