Why is Decolonizing Our Wellness important?

Because Decolonization challenges power structures that have perpetuated inequality and oppression within the healing industry, advocating for greater accessibility, inclusivity, and social justice. Healing is a universal right! And everyone should have access to healing, however people desire to heal. In this case, we’re inviting in spiritual leaders who are guiding and educating others by honoring ancestral healing practices

Heal your own way, let’s just keep perpetuating healing and not harm.

Our vision: Healed communities for all people, everywhere!!

Contigo Wellness is a mental health equity non-profit organization in Austin, Texas which aims to improve equity and access to culturally and linguistically competent mental wellness and other ancestral forms of healing through destigmatization, to connect historically marginalized communities to care centered in anti-racist, trauma-informed and decolonized approaches, and provide financial assistance for healing services. We exist to break down the barriers that keep people of color from getting mental health care. Our programs give every member of our community access to mental health treatment.
