The Tarrant County Medical Society Alliance Foundation hosted its annual Medicine Ball gala with TMAA President Joi Smith as guest. This year’s event included honorary chair, Sandy Lanier, a long-standing member who helped launch the Shots Across Texas childhood vaccination initiative that today is called Vaccines Defend What Matters. The Medicine Ball raises funds for health initiatives in Tarrant County, including Texas Bookshare, Vaccines Defend What Matters, Hard Hats for Little Heads, Project Access Tarrant County, and allied health scholarships.

Texas Medical Association Alliance partners with Texas Medical Association to connect physicians and families, creating a network dedicated to the common goal of a healthier Texas. As one of the oldest volunteer organizations in the state, TMAA continues to build grassroots support of the medical profession.
