In celebration of National Healthcare Decisions Day, The GIFT Project – together with Manchaca United Methodist Church, Meals on Wheels, We Are Blood and AGE – is hosting the event where folks can drop by, learn about advance directives like Medical Power of Attorney and Living Wills, get their questions answered from doctors, nurses and social workers, and enjoy games, barbecue, free snow cones and a bouncy house and activities for the kids. There will also be witnesses available for those who want to complete their advance directives. The event will be held Sunday, April 16th from 12:30 – 3:30 pm at Manchaca United Methodist Church, 1011 FM 1626. This week I became a Licensed Professional Counselor (officially) 🥳

4.5 years of undergrad, 2.5 years of grad school, 750~ hours as an intern, 3,000+ hours as an associate, countless hours of continuing ed and supervision, certification as a Certified Grief Informed Professional (CGP), getting my very own office, and I’m finally on my own!
