Now accepting both sliding scale private pay as well as United, Aenta, Cigna, Oscar and Oxford insurances My name is Elene Drakonakis and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I started Wild Garden Counseling in September 2019 shortly after leaving a long career in hospice and HIV/AIDs hospice and respite care. I wanted to focus on mental health utilizing Harm Reduction techniques with people challenged with mental health and substance use disorders. I have over 25 years of experience in the field of Mental Health, Substance Use Disorder, Hospice, Chronic Illness, and Grief and Loss. So whether you are looking at a life transition, grieving a loss, dealing with a chronic illness, or worried about substance use in your life, together we can begin the process of examining what is holding you back from reaching your goals, and help you shift to a place that brings you fulfillment. I want to hear your story. A little about me: I practice from a client centered, eclectic approach and primarily utilize CBT and harm reduction techniques in practice. I strongly encourage laughter with clients and in my own life journey. I share a house with three boys (one who is middle aged), and a very large fluffy white dog. I have a wild garden full of volunteer plants. I have a passion for all things creative and get way more excited about my kids' science fair projects than they do.
