Early saturday morning we experienced flash flooding at The Hive. It came fast and gave us just minutes to gather ourselves, our animals, and evacuate.

All of us who live at The Hive are safe. Our chickens made it. But there is a lot of damage. One of the hardest things is that we lost our bee hives… we weren’t able to rescue them.

We had just landed from Mexico late last night, and we haven’t slept since Friday at 7 am when we started making our way back. We came home to water rising and chaos.

We’re here now, assessing the damage and beginning to clean up, hearts heavy but also full of gratitude that we’re safe and here to rebuild.
