FREE WOMEN’S HEALTH WORKSHOPS OFFERED FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY.

For the last year I have dove DEEP into the research on women’s hormonal health and its intersection with female hormone cycles.

The Gender Health Gap has left women’s healthcare in a truly rough spot. It’s time to revolutionize the way we approach our female clients.

Dark times can spur creative change. That’s why .kaylaosterhoff and I are founding a new field of research: Female Psychoendocrinology, and we are sharing the insights we have gleaned, for free, in community and professional health settings over the next few weeks.

To book a 30-minute virtual info sessions, and plan your free workshop, use the Calendly link in my Kristen McAdams Therapy bio.

I can’t wait to share these exciting revelations in improving the way we support women as practitioners and members of a shared whole.

“Regulation” is a popular term these days.

Regulating your nervous system means:
✔️you know how to move out of “dysregulation”
✔️you can quickly recover when experiencing anger/fear
✔️you can ground yourself if you feel “out of control”
✔️you can embody and settle if “negative” feelings arise
✔️you respond pro-actively instead of reactively.

Regulation is a good coping strategy but, it is NOT the full picture of a healed, healthy, thriving system. It is only one piece of that picture.

The real goal:
FLEXIBILITY

Having a flexible nervous system means that your general baseline is calm and that you can respond to stressors effectively or experience deep rest when you need recovery.

It means you neither stay hyper vigilant to feel safe nor back away from stress because you fear you can’t recover.

Flexibility means that your system can handle what gets thrown at it because it can elevate, recover, and restore itself to baseline easily and effectively.

Regulation is a good first step toward learning what “calm” feels like against the backdrop of a dysregulated baseline.

It helps in taking accountability for your actions and trusting yourself to cope during stressful experiences.

It is a skill you develop and practice while re-conditioning your nervous system to respond well to the world.

It is only one step along the path to improving mental health.

Stress is an input. It is a perception that is filtered through your bio-individual meaning making matrix. All of the regulation strategies in the world will only help as far as you are able to understand and shift your relationship to, and understanding of, the stress and the stressor.

It is not a self care box to be checked.
It is not a force beyond your control.
It is not happening to you.
It is a biological cascade conditioned by your highly personal lived experience that is attempting to inform you based on what it originally learned.

There are general stressors that affect everyone; such as uncertainty. There are specific relationships to stress and stressors that are uniquely yours.

This is why people experience different emotions around the same topics/triggers.

Intend to change the pattern.
Individualize your relationship to stress.
Identify what that relationship is and what holds it in place.
Increase your awareness of your own patterns.
Improve the pattern.
Intend again.

You have heard it before….
You can’t trust your own mind.
Your body is failing you.
You have a problem and someone else has the solution.
You need to be fixed.
It’s something wrong with YOU where you’re not like everyone else in the world.

What if we changed the message:
You are your own bio-individual expert.
Quiet internal reflection will provide answers.
You can trust yourself to know what you need.
Your intuition is real and biologically proven by science.
Rest is a normal response to a human need for recovery.
Consistency isn’t the answer.

Just because something has been done a certain way for a long time, doesn’t mean it’s the best way to do it.

Mental health is more than a mind/body connection. It’s a movement. To amplify new ways of being and eradicate outdated perspectives on what it means to be a human.

Join our and learn how to listen to your own body’s messages. Link in bio.

The way you perceive stress impacts your relationship to it.

For most of us, we have been warned about the dangers of stress rather than how to understand our own stress responses.

We are taught that stress is something to be managed, controlled, or regulated.

Rarely do we discuss how our perception of it and relationship to it dictate how we experience it. Or the fact that we can shift nervous system states with this awareness; creating more empowerment, agency, empathy, self-compassion, groundedness, and understanding.

Stress is not your enemy. It keeps you alive.

Learn how to better assess threats, deepen your embodiment practices, identify your internal stress patterns, and challenge your own stress perceptions to forever change the way you relate to stress.

Since training with Kayla Osterhoff and receiving my Certification in Women's Neuropsychophysiology, I have been able to develop life changing protocols for pioneering through Mental Health Counseling and Coaching; as well as curating new health standards for myself as a practitioner and a woman.

Women experience a persistent gender health gap that has left our healthcare in the context of outdated research and practices. This impacts how we treat our minds, bodies, lifestyles, and relationships. It impacts our healthcare outcomes in medicine, wellness, and mental health practices.

Be part of a revolution for championing new health approaches for modern women.

The next cohort kick's-off for Summer 2024 this July. If anyone is interested in participating in this life changing certification program, please check out the link below or PM me for more details.

A masters-level training program in Applied Women's Neuropsychophysiology for doctors, coaches, and practitioners who want to gain expertise in women's biology to better support their women clients and patients.
