✨Our very own Nurse Practitioners, Miriam Jackson and Dawn McElvain, had the honor of serving as panelists at the Texas Neurological Society Conference, speaking on “Collaboration Between APPs and Physicians in Neurology.”

They shared what’s worked right here in our practice to build trust, support autonomy, and deliver meaningful, patient-centered care - alongside amazing leaders from across Texas.

We’re so proud of Miriam and Dawn for representing our team and showing what nurse practitioners bring to the future of neurology care.

☀The Hill Country backdrop was beautiful, but the real highlight was watching these two represent our team with insight, grace, and wisdom.

Each year on July 22, we come together to highlight the importance of brain health and its impact on individuals, families, and communities across the globe.

This year’s theme-Brain Health for All Ages-reminds us that brain health is a lifelong journey. From early development to aging adulthood, supporting and protecting brain health helps improve quality of life, promote independence, and reduce the global burden of neurological disorders.

Today, we celebrate progress, amplify voices, and continue working toward a world where everyone has the opportunity to achieve brain health-at every stage of life. Help us spread the word and share the importance of lifelong brain wellness.

🌍💙 CN&CA neurologist Dr. Keough recently joined a team of volunteers in Kenya, partnering with the Ubuntu Life Foundation to provide neurology care to children and families.

Together, they served 139 patients in just 3 days through the Ubuntu Life Medical Center’s Neurology Wellness Clinic - one of the region’s most impactful programs offering access to specialists, free or discounted medications, and medical camps with U.S. providers.

Our CN&CA providers have been involved with Ubuntu for more than 10 years, and we’re honored to be part of their continued growth and impact.

They’ll be sharing helpful tips on how to talk with kids during difficult times, grief resources for families, and ways to support those affected by the Central Texas floods.
