Come spend a self care day with me! Trying to practice what I preach lol 💁🏻‍♀️😂

I feel like this day was encompassing so many facets of self care! Sometimes self care is relaxing things like massage, other times it’s completing tasks and chores. Sometimes it’s taking care of our health, other times it’s spending time in the sunshine with your dog or dancing with your girlfriends. It all counts, I promise!!

What are some of your favorite ways to spend a self care day??

Yall ever wondered about allll the work you DON’T get to see your therapist doing…? 👀

obviously our clients see us while we’re therapizing and making the ✨magic✨ happen lol. But there’s so much that goes into the administrative/business side of a private practice that nobody gets to really see!

I want to share some of the little glimpses of things I do behind the scenes when I’m not in session. Today that is hunting for my missing 1099 form! Yay for tax season 🥳😂😜 it’s not fun, it’s not glam, but it’s necessary. Just like a lot of other forms of self care (different topic for a different day lol 👀)

Sharing my therapist ✨glimmer✨ of the week!!

A glimmer is a place, event, or thing that helps find a moment of hope or gratitude… which we all need right now as we are trudging through the dumpster fire of society in 2026 😅😂 this was such a cool surprise to receive. Moments like this are my favorite as a therapist. I love thinking about my former clients living their best lives out there in the world & having a small part in their journey is so meaningful to me. Makes all the hard days worth it 🩷

Forever my happy place 💗 So grateful that dance found its way back to me in this season of life. The joy and release it brings me is unmatched by anything else. Once a dancer, forever a dancer 🩰 even as an old lady like meeee lol 👵🏻 what makes you happy??

And that’s a WRAP on 2025!! Here’s a few highlights of my 3rd year in solo private practice & my 5th year in private practice overall.

I can’t wait to see what 2026 has in store for my lil business!! So grateful for every day I get to do what I love. Even on the hard days, I wouldn’t trade it for the world 🩷

Happy New Year, Sunnies!!

I started the evening having a nice dinner downtown with my girlies (shoutout The Girls Room! 👯‍♀️) and ended the night at home with my husband cozy by the fire pit taking in the amazing fireworks display our neighbors put on. They were LIT back there for real lol 🥳😂

My theme word for 2025 was recalibrate, and I feel like last night was very representative of that. I have always struggled to find the balance between doing too much vs not doing enough, going out vs staying in, time for others vs time for myself. I feel like 2025 was all about rediscovering the balance for myself and recalibrating a new normal. It was a thread that carried through, and I’m going into 2026 feeling more balanced than ever before.
