Eggs, in my opinion, the best food for breakfast. But the problem is that many of us know only 1 or 2 ways to cook eggs. And it gets boring very quickly 🍳

To dispel this belief, I have prepared for you several options for breakfasts with eggs that you can use.

Plus, do not forget that meals from eggs can always be varied with various toppings: cheese, vegetables, meat, beans, avocado, smoked fish.

And here are some more important facts about eggs:
📌Eggs are balanced better than all other products in terms of amino acid composition. In other words, it is the most complete source of protein.

📌 The statement that eggs consumption is contraindicated for people with high cholesterol is a myth. Enjoy your eggs, but in moderation like any other foods.

📌 Eating eggs for breakfast will keep you full for a long time. The main thing is not to finish your eggs breakfast with something sweet.

Is it okay dividing food into good and bad?
This is a very simple question for me.

Are there products that have no value for our body other than momentary pleasure?
▪️There are tons of them.

No, coming to Paris and not having a croissant for breakfast is a crime, I agree 🥐
But my question is about your routine eating style and the food choices you make on a daily basis.
And here I adhere to a simple principle.
Food is something that fills both physically andThis is what gives benefits and positive energy to your body, and therefore to your mind 💭
❗️What destroys the body cannot fill the mind.

Now to the details.

What kind of food do I classify as "bad"?

1. Refined oils. In fact, everything that is not cold pressed
2. Refined sugar, as well as all its analogues: syrups (maple, agave, etc.), brown sugar, coconut sugar
3. Store-bought dairy products
4. White processed wheat flour, pasta, white bread
5. Candies, sweets, pastries, cakes, chocolate
6. Chips and other salty snacks
7. Low-quality alcohol
8. Instant coffee

Our body NEEDS sugar 😱

Yes! It’s true!
And you might be surprised but to give your body sugar you don’t need to eat chocolate, candies, cakes and even fruits.

Your body is able to get sugar in form of glucose by a process of gluconeogenesis (learn more in photos ➡️)

But because modern people are overloading their body with simple sugars the gluconeogenesis doesn’t happen. And it’s one of the reasons why so many people have metabolic disorders.

Their body is too comfortable and main essential functions are just being degrading 🤷🏽‍♀️

Who should we entrust our health and how to choose a nutritionist?

We are all afraid of being deceived and running into a low-quality service. However, one thing is when we pay for our mistakes with money, ANOTHER WITH our HEALTH.

What should we pay attention to, when we are choosing a nutritionist/ health coach?

1. Education
It’s obligatory to have an university degree. It is absolutely unacceptable to “treat people with food” without knowing the basics: anatomy, physiology, biology, biochemistry of food processes and other important disciplines.

2. It will also be very useful to find out from a specialist on the basis of what researchers he works and what resources he uses and takes information from.

3.Remember about critical thinking!
Always ask questions: if you are told that you would not understand medical terms and it is difficult to explain, then this is an unprofessional answer. The specialist should be able to explain to his patient issues related to his health in a simple way.

I want to share with you a few tips, how you can fight cravings for sweets if it happens 🧁

1️⃣ Dark chocolate🍫
Not less than 85% of cocoa🙌
2-3 slices with black coffee perfectly quench cravings👌

2️⃣ Granny Smith green apples🍏
Go good with some peanut butter.⠀

3️⃣ No carbs for breakfast🍳
This is very important☝️
If you have a strong sugar addiction, then no oats, cereals, toasts and sweet fruits🙅🏻🙅🏽‍♀️

The perfect solution is eggs, vegetables, fats🥑
Carbs for breakfast will make you hungry very soon😡

You either won't make it till lunch/dinner, or you'll eat just too much later😳

4️⃣ Coffee with heavy cream🍶

5️⃣ If cravings overtake in the evening, and you are not really hungry, then you can have a glass of red wine🍷

6️⃣ Most of the calories should come from fats (fatty meat, fish, nuts, avocado, cheese, butter)🧀

7️⃣ You can make zero carbs dessert with some sweetener as a temporary solutions.
Or add sweetener at your coffee with cream.

Organic. Simple explanation ✅

I’ll give you pretty simple rules you can use when you buy your groceries.

❕When we shop for animal based products it’s important that animals weren’t treated with hormones and antibiotics, were able to walk and eat grass. There are others nuances but those are critical.

❕When we shop for produce it’s important that fruits and veggies have not been exposed to pesticides and aren’t GMO.

All these requirements are covered by Organic lable.

So which food items I recommend to buy organic?

Meat, poultry;
Eggs;
Dairy;
Fruits and veggies (except those with thick inedible skins).

If you buy something what has in there ingredients I mentioned above (like baked goodies with eggs and milk, dressings with veggies) also make sure that those ingredients are organic.

What else is important to know?

Fish - ONLY wild caught
Peanuts, corn - non GMO

Sweeteners 😱

You guys know that I’m a big fan of whole foods. And it’s not just a personal choice. I’ve analyzed tons of studies on the topic and can absolutely confidently say that natural food, which isn’t made in labs is way much better.

So, as a sweeteners I always first recommend to use:
raw honey
fruits/berries
dried fruits

It’s ok also to use monk fruit and stevia sometime if you can’t fit in your meal what I recommended above.

A lot of people can’t use natural sweeteners because they follow low carb diet for variety of reasons, or they don’t like the taste of stevia and monk fruit. In this case I recommend erythritol and allulose. Those are relatively new and studies show that they are absolutely safe, but long term studies haven’t been done yet, that’s why you should be careful with them.

📌If you want to be healthy eat less often

How many years have we been told that we should eat more often. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks between.
Is there scientific base under this statement? No.
But here are facts: when you eat 5 times per day your body literally doesn’t have any break from digestive processes. Your insulin is always high and from recent studies we know that high insulin is the main trigger for most pathological processes in our body including early aging, risk of diabetes and cancer.

How to change your eating habits if whole your life you used to eat 5 meals per day?
📎 Cut snacks and keep only 3 meals, but make sure they are satisfying
📎 As a start make sure you have at least 12 hours between dinner and breakfast, but try to make it 16
📎 If you feel pretty comfortable with 2 previous steps then try to skip 1 meal and have only 2 meals.

In a month you’ll be surprised how much more energy you have and how much better you feel.

Why should we watch what we eat?

That’s kind of funny that many years ago people knew nothing about nutrition. They knew how food looked like, they knew where to get it and how to cook. Things like obesity, autoimmune diseases, allergies and others were something super rare.

Human society had only a few ways to get their food: meat - hunting, fish - fishing, fruits/veggies/nuts/grains/legumes - picking and harvesting.
Now most of us don’t do it, we just go to groceries store where we can find variety of food.
Most of products you can find in groceries store have nothing common with what our ancestors used to eat. It made with tons of artificial additives like hormones, antibiotics, pesticides and others labs creatures. Number of “food caused” diseases is climbing up.

Food industry is growing really fast, companies are dodging in order to sell their products but nobody cares about educating us as consumers and tell us how exactly certain food products will impact our health.

That’s why it’s so important to have full understanding of what is inside your food and what you put in your mouth. Because they don’t want you to be healthy, they want you to buy it.

How many times do you usually visit your doctor in order to deal with some health issues?

First visit, then tests, then another visit to get results and prescriptions. And maybe even more.
For each of those visits you or your insurance company should pay and it’s not cheap.
More you visit, more money hospital makes.
Sounds like a business, right?

For me, as a therapist, the most important thing is your result. Yes, money matter, because we all need to eat and provide for our families. But I understand that without good results of my patients my company just won’t last long.

Should we snack between meals?

You’ll be surprised but snacking is one of the main causes of obesity epidemic in the United States.

Why?
When you snack you always keep your insulin and glucose levels up which with time causes chronic asymptomatic inflammation. That inflammation leads to many of so called “classic American diseases” like diabetes, hormonal disbalances, thyroid disfunction, Alzheimer’s, asthma and many others.

Being is very hungry before a meal is an NATURAL HEALTHY CONDITION our body is used to for thousands years before we introduced him snacks.
People are so used to comfort that they don’t want to deal with any hunger between meals.
It’s not that difficult to have up to 3 meals per day if you eat healthy nutritionally balanced food.
Try it! It might be very hard at first which is absolutely normal when you’re undoing things you used to have for years.

For kids it’s a little different.
We’ll talk about that next time.

I see that a lot of Americans used to have their breakfast on a way to work, then they buy a sandwich for lunch, some of them even order pizza for dinner. I agree it’s convenient, but it’s the quickest way to destroy your health and also it’s quite expensive approach for those who want to save some money💵
⠀⁣⁣⠀
If you go out to eat and order food 3-4 times per week, try to do it at least twice less.
Yes, cooking requires time, but there is a lot of benefits from that:
✅ your food is healthier
✅ you know exactly what you put in your pan
✅ you use less salt and sugar
✅ you don’t cook more then once in the same oil

Also there is a lot of easy quick delicious recipes you can find or I’ll be happy to share with you🍴
I personally sometime cook large meals in order to freeze it and have it again for dinner another day💡
You can make basically everything what you like. I sometime cook for my family delicious healthy cheese pizza, burgers, Mac and cheese, cakes, cookies and other deserts. I just substitute harmful ingredients with nourishing ones.

No, absolutely not! But laziness yes.

I’ll give you a list of non expensive healthy foods which you can use to make delicious and healthy meals for your family.
⠀⁣⁣⠀
📌 Bananas, seasonal apples and pineapples.
No need to buy expensive berries. By the way from bananas you can make fantastic breakfast pancakes for your kids.
⠀⁣⁣⠀
📌 Cabbages, onions, carrots.
From those you can make a veggie stew, just don’t forget to add some salt and your favorite spices.
⠀⁣⁣⠀
📌 Avocado.
Price is doubled, but still affordable. You can have them a few times per week and provide to your body a great fat source.
⠀⁣⁣⠀
📌 Complex carbs like rice, whole grain pasta, oats, potatoes.
Yes, if you are struggling with autoimmune diseases and have overweight, then frequent consuming of complex carbs probably isn’t good idea. But it’s much healthier for the whole family to make home steamed rice, mashed potato with butter, some whole grain pasta, than buying cheap bread and other processed carbs.

📌 Beans.
Great price. There are some good ones even in cans, just watch ingredients.

📌 Butter.
Just make sure it’s organic. Otherwise it’s harmful. Yes, it’s not cheap, but it will last long if you use it once in a while.

Great source of protein, especially when good meat is so expensive.
