If you suspect your patient has blood stagnation, palpate this point named after the herbal formula which treats pain due to traumatic injuries: Jidabokuippou. (See previous post for reference)
If the point is tender to the touch, or if you objectively find tension, bulging, induration or other signs of excess, then you may treat this point with a needle, teishin or tuning fork.
For sensitive patients, try using the 啄微(takubi) method. For hearty patients with a robust constitution, you may use the 雀啄 (jakutaku) technique.
