This week, we explored the fascinating history of the Terracotta Army — a vast collection of sculptures built to guard Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China, in the afterlife. 🪨⚔️

The experience sparked curiosity and great conversation as we learned how these incredible works of art symbolize power, protection, and the enduring belief in life beyond this world. 💭❤️

We have had such an eventful summer!!

We’re thrilled to share that our community renovation is nearly complete! Fresh flooring, new paint, and stylish furniture are transforming the space and it’s looking absolutely stunning. As the final touches are added this week, we can’t wait for you to see the finished result. In the meantime, here are a few “in-progress” photos to give you a glimpse of the scale and effort behind this transformation. This project wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible dedication of our team redirecting residents, adapting plans on the fly, and putting in extra hours to keep everything on track. Stay tuned the final reveal is just around the corner, and we promise it’ll be worth the wait!

Oooh la la, here at Barton Springs this week we traveled to France! Travel is about so much more than seeing new places—it’s about sparking joy, connection, and meaningful moments. 🌍✈️ Whether we’re taking real trips or enjoying themed ‘armchair adventures,’ these experiences awaken the senses, inspire conversation, and often bring back treasured memories.

Painting has been a big hit lately, and we’re loving every moment of it! It’s so inspiring to see such focus and creativity as each brushstroke brings the pictures to life. Watching the colors bloom with just water and a brush brings both joy and a real sense of accomplishment. A big thank-you to the lovely ladies who joined us your time, energy, and artistic spirit made this craft session extra special!

We feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside such inspiring people. For our recent NFL event, we were honored to welcome Jeff Frum, our Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing, who joined us all the way from California. Michael Logan, our Silverado Austin Hospice Regional Director of Business Development. We were also thrilled to have Gigi, Administrator at Silverado Hermann Park ; Gilbert, Administrator at Silverado Southlake and the legendary Michelle Neumann, who returned to Texas for the week from her current role at Silverado Encinitas.

Being part of the Silverado family is something truly special, and events like this are made even more meaningful with the support of our sister communities. Thank you all for making the trip and helping us raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s. Your presence made a lasting impact!
