Gema Alvarado-Guerrero has dedicated her life to helping others through social work, education and community advocacy. A first-generation college student, she began her journey at Riverland and never stopped learning. Today, she’s shaping lives as a licensed social worker in a leading community employer while continuing to give back to the community that raised her.

Looking for a way to make a difference for Riverland Students? We've got an oppurtunity for you!

Looking for a way to volunteer and make a difference for students? ✋

The Riverland Foundation is seeking volunteers to review scholarship applications between May 15-June 30. Volunteers are asked to donate 1-3 hours at their convenience for scoring applications through our online scholarship portal.

Helping to award scholarships is one of the most meaningful ways to help Riverland students—and you can do it from the comfort of your own couch!

What happens when a group of Riverland alumni end up working side by side in the same essential field? A shared foundation that makes a real difference!

Brandon Huston, along with fellow Riverland alumni Dustin White, Parker Hanna, Travis Rauenhorst, and Matt Larson, are all building meaningful careers at the Albert Lea Wastewater Treatment Plant—protecting public health and the environment right here in our region. Together, they reflect on how their time at Riverland gave them the hands-on skills and confidence to step into these critical roles.

The Riverland Blue Devils are headed to Herkimer, NY as the No.2 seed in the NJCAA DIVISION III Men's Basketball National Championships!!

Come help our Riverland Community send them off in style TOMORROW- Saturday March 7- at 8 a.m from the Austin Riverland Campus! They will receive a police es**rt out of town and we'd love to see some alumni come and cheer them on!

📣The team receives a first-round bye and plays on THURSDAY, MARCH 12 @ 5 pm!
