Birth is Magic ✨
I started feeling contractions around 6:30am on May 27th 2025. I knew I could go into labor any day, since I was estimated to be 40weeks and 4 days along.
The little surges kept coming about 6min apart for 2 hrs, so I knew that it was time.
Naturally me and went on a grocery run to grab some snacks and coconut water, but mostly to walk around and keep the mindset that there was plenty of time.
I went home and truly don’t remember what I did, but I know kept moving my body and keeping myself busy. This only lasted about an hour before I called for company. Thankfully came right over, and let my midwife Brittany know that I was beginning to feel I was in active labor. She let our best friend know, and she prepared to come support me as well. My mini-me’s/little doula twins were already there helping through each wave of intensity.
By 12pm I called Ronald and told him it was time to come home from work, he rushed over.
When Ronald came they worked on setting up the birthing tub.
The surges were strong, and were coming every 3-4 minutes since about 12pm.
The surges stayed consistent and kept intensifying.
I closed my eyes, and don’t think I opened them again until it was almost time to push.
At times I wanted to speak, communicate, express, but I had no ability to make myself utter a sounds that resembled words.
I rooted down deep into the immense waves that took over and swept me away with it.
Around 5pm I started feeling the small little urges to push.
By 6pm the urges started getting stronger, but I didn’t force it. Things were moving so fast. In hindsight I fell like I could have changed positions even more to keep myself more comfortable and relaxed.
My body started to push without me even thinking.
I felt the baby crown so I slowed down and took slow deep breaths up into my diaphragm so that I could give my body time to adjust and stretch.
Once the babys head was out, with the amniotic sac still intact, I took a minute to breathe and relax. I wanted to wait for my body to be ready for the next push.
By 6:20pm baby Jet was born, and it was a beautiful and glorious moment.
