Just got word that we ranked on ABJ for architectural firms. I thought they were going to take us out of that one after having a discussion with publisher! Said I would rather compete in ID. I thought I had to choose!

We ranked 17 for commercial interior designers and 42 for architecture. This is a dream come true and I think every mentor I ever had

Sali Fund Services and Red Design Studios "grew up together." This is the third office Jennifer has completed with them from their beginning to their great success today.

Since Sali's inception, they have been incorporated into the JTC brand. The new marketing standards involve purple and pink tones and butterflies that morph into animals. These colors and graphics were incorporated into the space with window film and appliques.

Many of the existing conditions were kept in this office expansion including the office carpet and window fronts, break room cabinets and the wood wall. New selections such as carpet tile and tile backsplash were added to complement the existing conditions and to provide a neutral platform for the bold corporate colors.

Red Design Studios made it to #17 of the Top Commercial Interior Design firms this year as ranked by the ABJ.

Unfortunately, they stated we have 0 registered Interior Designers. I think the form said not to check this if you were an architect too. Lesson learned!

Just got these professional photos from Fine Focus Photography. I designed this 2.5 floor office in early 2021. I still can't believe they said "yes to the desk!" We designed something bold and they executives finally decided that it fit the image they want to portray.

This was in partnership with Building Image Group, Rand Construction, Chad Williams, and CBI Group

Today was Kylie’s birthday and boy, did we celebrate in style. I wish I got photos. It was day two of measuring a 110,000 sqft building. I think we both agreed, we are getting out of that business. Too much anxiety about lack of desk time and contributing to deadlines.

There were times I wedged myself between huge furniture and the exterior walls and said out loud, “this is how I die” and similarly, climbing over a 6’ cubicle, trying to get a dimension and thinking that if I drop the tools, we are doomed.

Everything started to look the same. And SO empty for prime real estate in Austin, still a victim of COVID. It was like the Apocalypse with personal remnants in the offices. That helped my engagement when my feet were barking.

Then, Jackie Hill, had her rolling desktop. Really wish I had a photo of that! Brilliant!

We did lunch, without cocktails, to celebrate.

At least it was fun with these ladies! More to come Friday!
