The Posterior Cruciate Ligament (PCL) is a central stabilizing ligament of the knee, preventing posterior tibial translation beneath the femur.
Though less frequent than ACL injuries, PCL injuries often result from:
– Dashboard trauma in auto collisions
– Hyperextension injuries
– Direct blows to the anterior knee in flexion

Diagnosis and treatment vary by severity and mechanism.

A PCL injury occurs when the knee is bent and an object strikes the shin in a backwards motion, causing pain and swelling.

Clavicle fractures are among the most common upper body injuries in athletes, particularly in contact sports.

These injuries vary in location and severity—from simple fractures to comminuted patterns with multiple fragments.

While most are managed conservatively with rest and immobilization, displaced or comminuted fractures often require surgical fixation to restore alignment and function.

Dr. Jeff Padalecki carefully evaluates each case to determine the most effective treatment plan for optimal outcomes.

Clavicle fracture surgery usually involves an incision over the top of the shoulder and placement of a plate and screws along the top of the clavicle.

The Travis Hunter Effect is alive and well in the 2025 season.

There may not be another player like the 2024 Heisman winner, but teams are definitely looking for their own two-way star.

There won't be another player like the 2024 Heisman winner. But his play has inspired other teams to look for two-way stars.

Residency: not just training...it’s a test drive.

Most doctors stay where they trained, but some drive off into new states (or specialties).
Who stays loyal? Who roams?

Most physicians practice where they completed residency, but not all. Learn which specialties and states are most likely to keep you local.

Chondroplasty & microfracture surgery require careful recovery:
🔹 Crutches for 3 wks (chondroplasty)
🔹 No full weight-bearing 6–8 wks (microfracture)

Trust the process & follow your rehab plan!

Following chondroplasty, Dr. Padalecki may also determine that the Microfracture technique is required in order to promote the growth of new cartilage.

Torn your ACL? You’re not alone.

It’s the most common ligament injury in the knee. Here’s what you need to know: most ACL injuries occur during sports or trauma. If you heard a “pop”, felt pain, and now have swelling, you should get checked ASAP.

In younger, active patients ACL reconstruction is usually recommended to help patients get back to their level of pre-injury activity.

Before you curl it, know it.

Your biceps aren't just for show—they're complex, hard-working muscles with three key tendons.
👆 Upper: two tendons
👇 Lower: one tendon

And each one has its own risk of injury from overuse or overload. Here is what you should know 👇

The most obvious symptom associated with a biceps tendon injury will be a sudden and severe pain, depending on where the biceps tendon tear is.

When hip pain is caused by the psoas tendon rubbing over the pelvis, precision matters.

Dr. Padalecki’s Partial Psoas Lengthening is a fine-tuned arthroscopic technique designed to release just enough tension in the tendon to reduce pain and improve movement without detaching the muscle.

It’s tailored to each patient’s unique injury for the best results!

In many cases of psoas impingement, Dr. Padalecki will opt to use an arthroscopic surgical approach known as partial psoas lengthening.
