Many kids feel sad, anxious, or overwhelmed as summer ends and school routines begin. Big transitions can stir up big feelings—and that’s okay. 💙

Here are 3 ways to support your child during this transition:
1️⃣ Validate their feelings – Let them know it’s normal to feel sad or nervous about change.
2️⃣ Re-establish routines gradually – Start sleep, meal, and homework rhythms before the first week.
3️⃣ Create small joys to look forward to – Plan after-school activities or family rituals that help balance the stress of school days.

It's back to school time...

Feeling drained by the classroom? Drained by the never ending back to school list for your kids?

You’re not alone.

Teacher burnout is at an all-time high, with many educators carrying overwhelming stress, exhaustion, and compassion fatigue. Back to school for parents can be one of the hardest times of the year.

Here are 3 strategies you can start today to manage overwhelm:

1️) Regulate your breath- your breathing tells your mind and body how to respond in the present moment. Short, quick breaths= stress. Long, deep breaths= relaxation.

2) Ground yourself- this can be as easy as feeling the chair your in, smelling your morning cup of coffee, listening to calming music, etc. It's important to do this with intention- concentrate, focus and immerse yourself in your grounding mechanism.

3) Movement- the body stays still, stoic, stiff when in distress. Movement allows the body to process out and away the stress of the moment or day.
