Let’s clean my fridge and make a salad in under 2 minutes!

I may be a dietitian but I don’t always love cooking!

Which is why I keep my fridge stocked with simple foods I can throw together to make quick meals.

And I mean quick!

I got home from my hair appointment at 11:55 am and I was back in a meeting 5 minutes later with a meal!

One thing I am passionate about is making sure we don’t waste food in our home.

On the way home from the salon I passed by so many restaurants but kept telling myself “we have food at home” which reminded me that meals don’t need to be complicated to be nourishing.

This is what balanced eating can actually look like in real life.

💁🏽‍♀️ Simple, flexible, and satisfying.

If you haven’t stopped to eat lunch, this is your reminder to take a break to nourish your body.

Comment “READY” and I’ll send you the link to book your free discovery call to learn more about working with me as your dietitian.

💁🏽‍♀️ Did you know that there’s no single test to diagnose IBS?

That’s right, getting an IBS diagnosis isn’t as simple as taking a blood test or scan. Instead, doctors diagnose IBS based on symptoms and by ruling out other conditions.

IBS is typically diagnosed using the ROME IV criteria, meaning you’ve experienced abdominal pain at least one day per week in the last three months plus at least two of the following:
🔹 Pain improves or worsens after a BM
🔹 Changes in how often you go (more or less frequent BMs)
🔹 Changes in stool consistency (harder or softer than usual)

This process can feel frustrating and overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. 💛

In my 🌟IBS Food Freedom Program🌟, we go beyond just symptom management.

Together, we’ll:
🚩 Identify red flags that may require further testing
💉 Explore additional screenings that might be helpful
👩🏽‍⚕️ Learn how to advocate for yourself at the doctor’s office

✨ Most importantly, I’ll help you find relief without extreme food rules or unnecessary restrictions.

IBS isn’t just about your gut, it impacts your mind, emotions, and quality of life.

But with the right support, you CAN feel better. 💫

Here’s what we’ll work on together:
✅ Lasting relief from IBS symptoms
✅ Rebuilding trust with your body & letting go of food fears
✅ Expanding your diet so you can enjoy meals without stress
✅ Beating the bloat & stomach pain—so you can live life to the fullest!

👇🏽 Comment “Tummy Troubles” and I’ll DM you the 🔗 to book your FREE discovery call today!

✨ I’m only accepting 5 new clients this month so don’t wait! This is your sign to take the first step toward food freedom and a life free from IBS struggles.

💫 Let’s work together to help you confidently nourish your body and reclaim the joy of living like the star you are! 🌟

5 foods I’d cut out immediately if you have IBS 👀

April Fools 😅

🙅🏽‍♀️ I’m not the dietitian who’s going to tell you to start cutting out everything you eat

In fact, most of the people I work with come to me already restricting way more than they need to

😫…and still deal with uncomfortable digestive symptoms

The problem usually isn’t that you’re “not strict enough”

💡 It’s that you’ve been given an approach that focuses on elimination instead of strategy to identify food & lifestyle triggers, understand personal tolerances, and expand your diet as much as possible.

IBS support shouldn’t feel like:
❌ constantly second guessing your food
❌ avoiding entire food groups
❌ feeling anxious every time you eat

It should feel like:
✅ understanding your body
✅ having a plan
✅ actually being able to enjoy food again

🫶🏽 You can’t heal a starved gut with more restriction

If this hit a little too close to home, you’re not alone 🤍

Be honest… which slide called you out? 😅

Walking back onto the UT campus felt like stepping into a full circle moment. 💫

12+ years ago, I was sitting in Gearing Hall as a nutrition & dietetics student, soaking in lectures, taking notes, and trying to figure out what my future as a dietitian would look like.

💁🏽‍♀️ This week, I walked into that same space, not as a student, but as a speaker sharing my journey.

I had the opportunity to connect with both undergrad and graduate students about what it really looks like to take your RD credentials beyond the traditional path and build a private practice rooted in your values.

I shared the behind-the-scenes of my journey, the challenges, the pivots, and the moments that shaped Wholesome Start into what it is today.

It was incredibly nostalgic sitting in Gearing Hall, remembering the version of me who was just starting out.

🫶🏽 I wish I could tell her that one day she would be back here, not just as a dietitian, but as a business owner, speaker, and co-author of a book that helps bridge the gap between GI and eating disorder care.

I also got to share about the Comprehensive Nutrition Therapy for Co-Occurring Gastrointestinal & Eating Disorders, a project that is so close to my heart and something I hope will support the next generation of dietitians in providing more inclusive, evidence-based care.

Moments like this remind me that there is no one “right” way to be a dietitian.

💫Your path can evolve.
💫 Your voice can grow.
💫 And one day, you might find yourself standing in the exact place where it all started, realizing just how far you’ve come.

If you’ve ever had a full circle moment like this, I’d love to hear it.

🫶🏽 Or if you’re still in your “Gearing Hall” season, tell me what you’re dreaming about for your future.

When it comes to gut & hormonal health, more restriction isn’t always the answer.

🤯 In fact, it might be the reason you’re still struggling.

I’m going LIVE with Dr. Anu Sidhu (Direct Primary Care Physician specializing in gut + hormone health) to talk about something we both see all the time in practice:

People trying to heal their gut and hormonal health by cutting out more and more foods… and ending up feeling worse. 😫

We’re breaking down:
➡️ How restrictive diets can backfire
➡️ The connection between gut health, hormones, and stress
➡️ Why your symptoms might not mean you need more restriction
➡️ What actually helps you move toward food freedom

📅 April 2

💁🏽‍♀️ Where you get your nutrition information matters.

There’s so much misinformation on these interweb streets that has my nutrition clients in a tizzy.

Here are some of my nutrition red flags 🚩
🔻You’re on a bunch of supplements because you saw it was helpful for some influencer
🔻 Your fear eating seed oils
🔻 Your avoid all gluten and dairy unless it’s raw dairy or Italian based flour
🔻 You eat raw chicken PERIODT
🔻 You avoid all processed food but take a protein powder & greens powders

The list goes on and on…

What questions do you have about nutrition?

Drop them here and I’ll answer them in another reel!

(And no, there are no dumb nutrition questions!)

I recently had the honor of speaking on a Women’s Health panel for Microsoft International Women’s Day celebration, and it was such an inspiring experience.

We had thoughtful conversations about women’s health and answered some great questions about how nourishment, stress, and daily habits can impact digestive health and overall wellbeing.

As women, many of us wear so many hats. We are professionals, mothers, caregivers, partners, friends, and often the ones making sure everyone else is taken care of first.

But our health matters too.

Taking time to pause, nourish our bodies, and support our health is not selfish. It is essential.

I was so grateful to connect with such thoughtful and inspiring women and to be part of a conversation that centered women’s wellbeing.

A good reminder for all of us:
The women who take care of everyone else deserve care too.
