I see this all the time. 🤦🏽‍♀️
A well-meaning client with IBS comes to me and says, “I’m really trying. I even started taking Metamucil capsules.”
💪🏽They feel proud. Proactive. Responsible.
And I love that energy. Truly.
But here’s the problem.👇🏽
😬Metamucil capsules only contain about 0.4 grams of fiber per capsule. You would need to take around 20 capsules a day just to get 8 grams of fiber.
😣Eight.
🫩That’s barely a dent in your daily needs.
So you think you’re doing everything “right”… and your gut still isn’t improving. It’s frustrating and confusing.
💁🏽‍♀️This is where personalized support matters.
🥝Instead of relying on a handful of capsules, I help my IBS clients use a food-first approach to gently increase fiber with foods they actually tolerate.
Because when you add fiber through food, you are not just getting fiber.

✅You are getting vitamins, minerals, hydration, antioxidants, and a wide range of nutrients that support your gut microbiome and overall health.
You deserve more than a bottle of capsules and crossed fingers.
🫶🏽Inside my 12-week IBS Food Freedom package, we build a personalized plan so you can meet your fiber needs without fear, overwhelm, or constant symptom flare-ups.

😬 Are you terrified to eat with IBS?

So was my last IBS Food Freedom client!

🤦🏽‍♀️ Her GI doctor diagnosed her with IBS and handed her a Low FODMAP “avoid” list.

That was it.

❌ No explanation of what to eat.
❌ No guidance on how to build meals.
❌No discussion of stress, sleep, hydration, or movement.

Just a list.

😲 So she started eliminating.
Garlic. Onion. Apples. Bread. Beans. Dairy.

❌ Then she cut more because she was still bloated.

Soon she was scared of restaurants.
Scared of family dinners.
Scared of trying new foods.

🫩 She was exhausted, under-eating, and convinced her body was broken.

She didn’t need another food list.

✅She needed structure.
✅She needed reassurance.
✅She needed someone to show her what & how to eat.
✅She needed support through reintroductions.
✅She needed nervous system work alongside nutrition.

💁🏽‍♀️That’s the difference between Googling IBS and working with a digestive health dietitian.

👩🏽‍💻There is so much information about what to eliminate on the Low FODMAP diet. But almost no one teaches you how to nourish your body while doing it.

😣If you’re feeling lost, confused, or afraid to eat, you’re not failing.
You’re just trying to follow a list without a roadmap.

🥝 I’m currently accepting new clients inside my 12-Week IBS Food Freedom Package.

🫱🏽‍🫲🏼You don’t have to figure this out alone.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but coffee is not breakfast 😲☕️

This one simple trick can help you find relief from your tummy troubles! 👇🏽

I can’t tell you how many times clients come to me complaining about fatigue, nausea, stomach pain, bloating, and acid reflux in the mornings.

Upon reviewing their daily intake we discover that they are setting themselves up for a digestive disaster

🤦🏽‍♀️Having coffee on an empty stomach as soon as you wake up.

💩 Remember, you can’t have optimal digestion without providing your body with consistent and adequate fuel!

I’m not here to tell you NOT to enjoy coffee, but we can opt for a way to enjoy it without acid reflux, stomach pain and cramping, and urgent diarrhea!

☕️🍳🥞Try enjoying your coffee with a meal instead of on an empty stomach!

Simply priming your body with nourishment prior to enjoying your morning cup of joe can be a GAME CHANGER! ✅

❓Need more help finding out what’s causing your tummy troubles?

💁🏽‍♀️ This is exactly what I help people with in my IBS FOOD FREEDOM PROGRAM!

👩🏽‍💻 I’m accepting clients for March and would love to help you finally find relief from IBS & feel confident nourishing your body!

🌙 Ramadan & Eid book haul from BookPeople here in Austin, Texas🤍

We all know this isn’t my usual content but I’m obvi all about inclusivity and this experience really made my heart so full 🫶🏽

So grateful to see books like:• Ramadan for Everyone by Aya Khalil• Ramadan: A Holy Month by Malik Amin• The Very Hungry Caterpillar’s Eid by Eric Carle• Happy Eid (Sticker Book) by Campbell Books• Eid Magic Painting Book by Usborne• Who I Am: Words I Tell Myself by Susan Verde

I would have loved seeing this kind of Ramadan and Eid representation in bookstores and libraries growing up.

It’s such a blessing to watch my kids experience the joy of reading books where they feel seen and celebrated.

Representation matters. Always. 🌙✨

Ramadan Kareem!

👅 Engage your senses while eating to get the most pleasure out of the dining experience

🥺 What a sad sad week it has been! We lost James Van Der Beek at just 48 after a battle with colon cancer.

His story is heartbreaking and also a powerful reminder that this disease can happen to people who seem young and healthy.

Colon cancer rates are rising in adults under 50 — and that’s why screening now starts at age 45.

If you have a family history or warning symptoms, your provider may recommend screening even earlier.

Warning signs aren’t always dramatic.

💩 Changes in bowel habits, persistent bloating, abdominal pain, or blood in your stool are worth talking about.

❌ Don’t brush symptoms off. Don’t wait.

✅ Talk to your healthcare provider. Advocate for your health.
Colonoscopies catch cancer early — and can even prevent it by removing polyps. 🛡️

If persistent digestive issues are affecting your life, a dietitian can help you:
• make sense of symptoms
• track patterns
• support nourishment and gut health
• partner with your provider for comprehensive care

Your body is worth attention. Your health is worth action. 💚

Want the truth about IBS?

IBS is complex, and managing it is less about food rules and quick fixes, and more about finding a balance between nutrition, mental health, gentle movement, and lifestyle.

A personalized, gentle approach is key! 💡✨

You’ve been told WRONG about IBS! 🚨”
There’s so much misinformation out there about IBS, and I’m here to set the record straight. 🙅‍♀️

🔹 IBS isn’t just about avoiding foods.
🔹 It’s not all in your head—it’s a real condition with real solutions.
🔹 Low FODMAP is a tool, not a lifelong diet.
🔹 Fiber helps, but too much of the wrong fiber can make things worse!
🔹 Managing stress may play a role in reducing your IBS symptoms, but it won’t magically cure IBS.

You can take control of your symptoms—with the right approach.

If you’ve ever been told one of these myths, you’re NOT alone.

The good news?

There are ways to feel better without unnecessary restriction and stress! 💛

✨ I’m only accepting 5 new clients for February, so don’t wait—this is your sign to take the first step toward a life free from IBS struggles.

If you love beef and struggle to meet your fiber needs, keep watching!

*cough cough* every Texan I’ve ever met 😜

When it comes to feeding my family I always focus on 3 major things:
✅ Flavor— does the food have delicious spices and sauces that make the meal exciting?
✅ Fiber — add a plant-based food to help meet our fiber needs
✅ Fuel — will this meal satisfy us for at least a couple hours?

Making meals more gut healthy doesn’t mean avoiding foods you love or even completely changing everything you eat.

When you work with me, you’ll find that we focus on things we can ADD to your diet that help you feel your best instead of unnecessary restriction.

What do you think of this one-pot fiber-packed meal?
