🐾 Seasonal Reminder for Our Pet Families 🐾
This time of year brings more travel, boarding, and social pets — and with that, an increase in respiratory illnesses like kennel cough in dogs and URIs in cats. We've seen a noticeable rise in cases, including some exposure within our own hospital.
💉 Important vaccine reminder:
Respiratory vaccines work similarly to human flu vaccines:
➡️ They reduce symptom severity
➡️ Help pets recover faster
➡️ Do not always completely prevent illness
🩺 What you can do:
• Monitor your pet for coughing, sneezing, or nasal discharge
• Call us before bringing in a sick pet
• Keep symptomatic pets away from others
