January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month, a dedicated time to promote prevention through HPV vaccination and regular cervical cancer screenings (Pap tests/HPV tests), as over 99% of cases are caused by HPV, making it a highly preventable cancer with early detection and intervention. The month focuses on education, encouraging timely screenings, HPV vaccination for adolescents, and supporting those affected, with the goal of eliminating cervical cancer.
