🌟 MeetLauren Schwartz, LPC-Associate, the newest therapist at Observant Mind!

Ever feel stuck in loops of self-doubt, anxiety, or disconnection?

Lauren gets it, and she’s here to help you find a way forward. She creates a warm, supportive space where you can explore your experiences, build self-awareness, and practice new ways of connecting with yourself and others.

The result? More clarity, confidence, and a sense of peace that actually sticks. ✨

When she’s not helping clients untangle life’s patterns, you can usually find Lauren on the ultimate frisbee field running, laughing, and soaking up the joy of connection and movement.

🥏💛 She believes a little bravery (even just twenty seconds of it!) can spark something amazing both on the field and in life.

We’re so excited to welcome her to the Observant Mind team!

Your system is wise beyond your understanding. Trust in its timing!

Memories and emotions will rise to the surface to be processed when you have enough internal and external safety to do so.

If one is not present, your inner wisdom will know there is no capacity to process specific traumas and keep it just out of reach.

If something is being pushed into your awareness, Trust that you have the skills to process it.

Sometimes that means you have learned how to ask for support.

Reach out if you need it.

👋 Hi, I’m Leah, founder of Observant Mind Integrative Counseling.

Many people come to therapy feeling trapped in patterns of anxiety, self-doubt, perfectionism, or overthinking.

Often, I hear “This is just who I am,” but I know you are so much more!

Which is why I take a holistic, brain-based approach to help you uncover the real you under all those protective strategies.

When I'm not guiding clients back to themselves, my life is full of the messy, beautiful parts of being human.

Finding the balance between motherhood, entrepreneurship, and my own self-care rituals (yes, coffee counts some days!).

My approach blends depth, compassion, and humor, helping clients feel truly seen, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change. đź’›

If you’re ready to feel more aligned, supported, and free, I just might be the guide you’ve been looking for.

I am so grateful to be leading our Observant Mind team!

If I am not anxious, who am I ?

I get this question a lot in sessions when I am helping clients uncouple their identity from their survival strategies.

Learning to operate in a new state of being is uncomfortable at first, just like all new things; there is a learning curve.

We have to slowly learn to trust that we will be okay, without the worry, stress, overthinking, and playing out every scenario.

The beauty is in the discomfort and growth edges; you go through a process of rediscovery.

Here's to learning who you are beneath the strategies.

This list is not exhaustive, just some of the commonalities we see in people with a history of complex trauma.

If you find many of these resonating with you, just know they are not life sentences.

You are capable of deep healing!

We are here to help guide you when you are ready.

It all starts with booking a consultation call.

Tell me you had emotionally immature parents, without telling me you had emotionally immature parents.

Sensitive People/Empath Edition:
👉 You constantly scan the room for shifts in tone.
👉 You feel “too sensitive” but can't stop tuning into others.
👉 You blame yourself when someone’s mood changes.
👉 You’re exhausted from carrying emotions that aren’t even yours.

The ability to see deeply into people is your gift - It being turned up to 100 is your adaptation.

The key now is to learn to turn the dial down and protect your energy, so you can protect your peace ✨️

Our mental and emotional health shapes how we think, feel, and show up in the world.

When left unaddressed, the stress, anxiety, or pain we carry will spill into our relationships, work, and daily life.

Tending to our mental health isn’t a luxury; it’s essential.

Everyone's healing journey is unique. Let your intuition guide your first step.

If you are currently being called to therapy, book a free consultation to get started.

Inner child work is a sacred healing process of going back to retrieve every younger version of self stuck alone in distress.

This is one of those rare moments where my Marine and Therapist selves meet at an intersection and shake hands. Both fully aligned with the oath: leave no man behind, no matter how treacherous the terrain.

It takes courage to revisit those dark moments.
But this time, you DO NOT have to Alone!

Anxiety often keeps us busy, spinning thoughts, scanning for danger, and trying to plan for every outcome.

But like a rocking chair, it expends a lot of energy without any forward movement.

Healing means learning to soothe the nervous system, not just manage the symptoms.

While it is an effective distraction, worrying doesn't actually increase control. It only steals your current peace.

Instead...
Slow down. Breathe.

Real safety lives in your body, not your thoughts.
