In the wake of the recent tragedy on Sixth Street, our community has shown what it means to come together in moments that matter most. We are deeply grateful to everyone who donated and who attempted to donate during this difficult time. The response from our community was tremendous, and it serves as a powerful reminder of the kindness and solidarity that defines Central Texas.
We also want to recognize the incredible dedication of our We Are Blood staff teams, volunteers, and community partners who made this response possible. Many stepped in on days they were not scheduled, worked long hours, helped organize special drives, and provided supplies to support the community’s desire to give.
Moments like these remind us how fragile life can be, and how important it is to care for one another. Together, our community proved that in the face of tragedy, compassion arises. From all of us at We Are Blood, thank you all for showing up. Our hearts remain with all those impacted. ❤️
