When you have a session with a 6 year old who only wants to refer to you as “bruh” and talk about p**p, you create a very dramatic pretend play story and sort the cat’s p**p by size and compare. 🤷🏻‍♀️

We are having so much fun with our “Arctic” friends theme and we added magical snow! There are a million and one concepts to use in this unit and we can’t get enough of it! Descriptors, multi step directions, motor coordination with sensory play, sequencing, auditory memory, articulation, locators and so much more! Little hands LOVE little manipulatives. Thank you we adore your work. Thanks for helping us carry it forward.

At Therapy Corps, we always have the patient’s best interest at heart and set our goals based on the patient’s long term goals with sensitivity to his/her cultural values that are sustainable. We used to write SMART goals - Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time bound. Based on an article we just read, we are adding I and E to our goals to make them SMARTIE goals. Adding in adjectives of Inclusive and Equitable.

When five-year-old Everett visited his new mainstream elementary school before he began kindergarten, he quickly spotted a colorful, inclusive mural depicting a tiger with hearing technology.
