We took a recent trip to the Women & Their Work Gallery which is an Austin-based nonprofit visual and performing arts organization dedicated to showcasing groundbreaking contemporary art by women artists from Texas and elsewhere. Since 1978, it has fostered artistic growth and developed audiences through exhibitions, performances, and educational workshops, ensuring women artists are well-represented across all art forms. Thank you, Jerry, for planning this educational outing for us!

We love being in the 78704 because we have access to so many great, local restaurants. Amy's Ice-Cream has proven to be a resident favorite this summer allowing us to beat the heat while enjoying a sweet treat of our choosing! 🍦

Brick by Brick Lego Club has become a fun new addition to our weekly activity schedule. Some residents have never done Legos before and others used to do them with their kids. Some of us have never stopped since we were kids. Come join us! Wednesdays at 3pm 🧱

We've been in our Snow Cone state of mind for a while now as the summer continues to heat up. This time, it was a trip to Bahama Buck's which offers Snow Cones as well as Acai bowls and smoothies. What a great way to stay cool! 🍧😋

Our art classes with Sue Fluger continue to get bigger and bigger. She always brings such a beautiful project for our residents to work on. This time it was drawing trees. We have such talented residents here. I'm truly impressed with the way these turned out 🌲

Local helping local ❤️ I think we're all trying to figure out ways to help after the horrific floods in Central Texas. One small way we can give back is by purchasing dinner tonight at P. Terry's for all of our residents and staff. P. Terry's is donating 100% of their profits to flood relief today. If you can, stop by for a dinner that fills the belly while also filling your heart. Something we can all use a little more of right now 🥰🙏🍔 Thank you to Kathy who was a huge contributor to our dinner! Kristen Currie

What a relaxing way to use our creative side. Our residents were donned with super soakers for a water gun painting activity out on the courtyard. The Monet-esque piece now hangs proudly in our art room with the initials of every resident that helped create the masterpiece 🎨
