Sometimes a little meathead goodness in the way of Gorilla Complex to end a fun sprinting session: 8 reps each of bicep curls; upright rows; shoulder press; tricep extension & pushups. 3 rounds.

I always appreciate the endorphin boost that a good workout & propah music can give 😉

Alrighty still testing & today we hit on 1-rep clean. My PR is 185lbs & that was by no means anywhere my aim for today *lol*

I haven't consistently been practicing this lift & I could feel the inconsistencies in my ex*****on.

My focus & has for a long-time been more aggressive in my shrug & meeting the bar more fluidly. Working on consistency w/body & bar contact.

Despite feeling shaky as all get out *lol* (can see some of the displeasure on my face for some lifts) Stopped at an ugly 175lbs (3rd frame).

2nd frame lighter weight better lift. That's why we practice & keep on trucking; I'll get it w/better form & more patience soon 😉

Hey all so testing's still happening & today it was max reps front squat, women @ 75% bodyweight.

Felt good stopping @ 36 reps w/100lbs.
The vid comes in at 20-something reps. For the first few reps (not seen) think I need to work on depth & form a bit, but felt like I caught my groove in the teens *lol*

One of the things I really appreciate about myself & like is my back. To me it feels & looks strong, it's an attribute that is important to me & its strength makes me happy.

A lot of emphasis & quotes are put onto the back. A big one is "Don't give me a lighter load, but a stronger back". I understand the sentiment, but honestly sometimes I do want a lighter load 😉

I don't believe that "I have to suffer" in order for my dreams to be achieved; I do believe in hard work, I just don't think that has to go hand in hand w/suffering to get my goals.

Not asking for agreement in this, it's just my opinion. There's a saying in Traditional Chinese Medicine:
"If there is free flow, there is no pain;
If there is no free flow, there is pain."

That can be applied to a number of things. I do believe that when we are out of alignment w/our 'path', then 'ish gets difficult.

Everything seems harder & life can be downright sucky. Then yes, in that instance I wish for strength to handle my tasks.

But when things are in flow, we feel fearless, determined, and can endure most things in pursuit of our goals. We're able to persevere ... in TCM the back associates w/will power.

So this is an acknowledgment of a bodypart that I love & am thankful for. I am grateful for it's association to fluidity of flow & drive.

Hi All :)

More testing today: as many reps from hip to overhead in 2 mins. Women @ 65lbs 🏋🏾‍♀️

Was happy w/my 26. Had gals making 28+, something to aspire to for retesting 😉 Also for some women that weight is double or 3/4's their bodyweight & they killed it 💪🏾

Alrighty so today was a bit of testing:

65% of bodyweight for females, max reps bench press. I fluctuate btwn 130 & 135lbs, today bout 130. Got a solid 30 reps @ 85lbs.

In the vid that Jordan (one of our coaches) so nicely commentated on for me 😉. You'll see me in the final round of: 6 rounds of 6 burpees & 6 25m shuttle sprints 🏃🏾‍♀️

Gadzooks I may have done it!

A video where there are no seasick pills required. Nailed It! (Pls insert applause here *lol*)

Alrighty knew it would happen ... eventually 😊 Today was a full body sequence of 5 movements, 6 rounds @ 20 secs each w/40 secs rest btwn each round. The only movement I am missing in the vid are the rounds of pushups.

There were also bookends of 400m runs w/weighted stepups. Fun session!

*ha* so earlier I'd said this upcoming vid would hopefully be a better selfie-film quality. Well ... nope *lol* But it's funny!

In this clip I am partnering w/my friend Jenn in a 5 min AMRAP of: 15 weighted stepups; 10 pushups & 10 jump lunges (total)

So we thought "Hey teamwork"! So naturally as I did my stepups Jenn held my phone in her mouth as she did her pushups. Continued to film me as she did her jump lunges & then stepups.

Yea ahhh entertaining 😂
What you can't hear is the wicked cool "I'm A Sucker For Pain" song that I'm singing & dancing to as I workout!

Hallo everyone

This is an older vid of me; will be posting more recent ones of my bar work in next couple of weeks.

Trying to execute a muscle sn**ch. Muscle sn**ch; muscle clean: hang power clean & hang power sn**ch are such illuminating drills for me. Really highlights where I have room to grow.

I have enough strength to "muscle through" a fair amount of weight for my size, but that means naught if I truly want to progress. B/c like most things I hold a high degree of respect for: "powering through" only gets you so far, you need to have the skill set down for any real progression.

I feel that I have made a modicum of improvement since this vid was posted & I say "modicum" b/c only within the last couple of weeks do I feel like I have "broken" through on an aspect of these lifts that I have been trying to implement forever now & still I know I have barely scratched the surface *lol*

I am stoked for this understanding of my lifts that has come these last few weeks & am excited to keep on learning. Lifting has real crossover for sprinting (which I adore & have improved immensely at 😍)

Will definitely post more recent clips soon 🏋🏾‍♀️

Hi All

Pretty monumental day for most everywhere. Everyone expressing some serious soul altering points of view for our present state.

I was unable to be at any of the major events; but a big resounding headline I gathered was "love". In the midst of all of this, the ppl that I saw where so fired up, hopeful & more joyous than even I anticipated. It was pretty great!

It may seem weird I was at a "Christmas" party w/ppl that I very much consider some of my family here in Austin (just some, not all, I'm blessed that way 😊) & we had a range day.

So though we were firing arms; it was a gathering of some of the biggest most open hearted crew of peeps I know. A blend of friends, family, kids all gathered to yes shoot guns.

Of course - in the safest most responsible way possible, but it was less about the activity & more the gathering. I love that amidst such a seemingly "sharp" setting; all we felt was happiness; respect; love & lucky to be w/such an eclectic, unique blend of badass individuals genuinely loving one another.

& frankly to me ... that bottomline of genuine love & respect is going to be muy necessary in times to come 😍

Hey all this may have to be a short & sweet post ;)

Been unpicking my hair btwn work today & mama's tired *lol* I have a lot of hair on my cranium & I'm still not done (where's my fro emoji at??)

Had a good workout today; felt strong & on it. Had some negative bench press; barbell lunges; jumping over stuff & olympic pull drills - Fun stuff 🏋🏾‍♀️

Hi everyone!
First I am so loving the warm weather in Austin right now 🌞 Seriously helps make the fact that electronics seem to be conspiring against me a little more bearable *lol*

In lieu of the vid that's not happening despite many attempts, will write & leave another quote.

I am accepting the truths that success exists within vulnerability. This has been a difficult but necessary lesson for me to embrace & learn.

I impart acknowledgement of all aspects of life to enhance the achievements you want in health & fitness. & allowing ppl to see when "I'm not all put together" has been humbling & a big source of growth for me.

Asking for help in aspects of my business & letting ppl see where my weaknesses are has been providing me w/various platforms of success I hadn't initially thought of.

So much emphasis is put on "having the right successful veneer", that usually means not having ppl see that you're suffering or worse "weak". I am learning everyday that my having weaknesses does not necessarily make me "weak" in a debilitating sense.

My weaknesses & failures are a necessity for my growth. I make many mistakes & there is so much in business that I do not know. But I'm blessed enough to know a host of brilliant ppl who are kind enough to offer their expertise; but that is only as helpful as my willingness to accept it.

I am feeling tender & very vulnerable today so in total honesty, some of you lovely ppl in my sphere I will be asking for help w/various things over the next couple of weeks.

I'm taking 2017 by storm; I have beautiful humans in my corner & I'm enjoying it all 😘

I get asked often "What do you eat?"
I will definitely go into detail on that w/pix in another post. Today will focus on what a post-workout protein shake is for me.

My bod responds well to a balance of proteins, carbs & fats, so b/c of this I have a nice dense protein shake.

I like to get my shake within 45 mins of completing my workout. It looks like this:

- either Zija XM Whey Protein or their Plant protein. Both contain Moringa & taste good, which is especially impressive re: the plant protein
- 1 cup oats
- 10-12 oz water
- 2 kinds of fruit
- dollop of honey
- dash of cinnamon or nutmeg
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp flaxseeds
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp tumeric
- a few dashes black pepper
- a few dashes salt
- (Ripstix Recovery post-workout if I feel esp in need)

Blend it up ... sooo good 😋
I usually have a full meal an hour after having that shake, sometimes sooner *lol*
