Please join Texas AFCC via Zoom on March 28, 2024 at 12 pm~Avoiding Midair Collisions - Parenting Facilitators as Case Managers.

Parenting facilitators are often thought of as a way to assist high conflict families through building communication and conflict resolution skills, buffering children from the toxic effects of parental conflict, and helping courts understand the nature of parents' dysfunctional interactions. A lesser-used but equally important component of parenting facilitation services is the case management function - coordinating between disparate individual therapists, psychiatrists, treatment centers, drug and alcohol monitoring, and other professional services, as well as schools, and even attorneys. Where parents cannot come together as one (or both) navigate complex and convoluted processes in recovery from substance abuse, treatment of mental health issues, interaction with the criminal justice and CPS systems, a parenting facilitator can step in and track accountability and progress. This keeps parents informed and on course while executing on the orders of the court and helping them act in the best interests of their children.
