Kerrville Community! Come One, Come All!!

This weekend, our dear friends from Louisiana have offered to cook up 1,500 servings of home cooked, Cajun specialties!

For lunch on Saturday we are having Jambalaya and green beans.

Dinner Saturday will be an amazing seafood pasta with cheesy sauce.

Lunch on Sunday will be chicken fricassee, a creamy French dish.

We had a wonderful time sharing the LIGHT with our community. So many beautiful people seeking to Know Themselves on deeper levels.

Some of my favorites…

• An older couple dog sitting for their daughter. He encouraged his wife to receive a Heart Chakra Awakening… Him and I spoke about the importance of the Words we choose in our relationships. We are connecting them with our colleagues in Minneapolis!
• A woman who FaceTimed her partner to show him our Kabbalistic Tree of Life poster. He was quizzing us to “vet” our school. We passed of course, as these teachings are clarified through initiatory instruction!
• Of course, the Healer who is seeking their own path, and following the breadcrumbs that lead them towards a life of service. She was ready for Life Activation!

We had a deck of Hermetic Wisdom cards created by Sovereign Ipsissimus Dave Lanyon. These are not feel good “angel” cards, these cards challenge you to see the truth of the matter!

All in all it was a huge success. The team gave a presentation on the importance of Lineage and remaining in integrity with the source of Light through the Hermetic Keys of Initiation. The Modern Mystery School prides itself on professionalism and a certification process that holds that level of Service in high regard.

The seeker, customer, student, aspirant, are inundated with options these days, and together with artificial intelligence and a culture of “content creators,” there is a lot of noise out there.

What one must pay close attention to are the fruits in the lives of those you seek to learn from. And through having your own experience, one may begin to see the fruits in their own life.

"From the Exhaustless Riches of Its Limitless Substance, I Draw All Things Needful, both Spiritual and Material."

Paul Foster Case contributed this powerful message to the living Kabbalah, as a student of the mysteries, when he received the inspiration to write The Pattern on the Trestleboard.

As high initiates in ancient lineage, we walk the same path laid before us by so many living Masters of Light, and the chosen few who have chosen to follow the narrow path back home.

The Kabbalah is a very unique system. Many have claimed its origin lies with specific religions; however, no such religions make this claim. It is also said to have been gifted to humanity by divine transmission. There are several fantastic stories to elaborate this origin, and I will not delve into these mysteries.

What MATTERS is what matters. If you know, you know. amd if you Know Thyself, you Know Thyself as God. Whoa... Another mystery for another time.

THIS post is about Kabbalah and how it matters to ME. Because what bears no fruit needs no mention. But the Kabbalah is all about fruit. The word generally translates into "receiving," "to receive," or "that which is received." One thing is clear. Kabbalah is not a "thing." It is a living system, in which the aspirant may use to receive that which he desires. It is also the system that works for the ignorant which shows how one receives that which "happens to him."

My theory on life is that life does not happen to me. I happen to life! We are creators of own reality, and we must accept the objective realities of physics and relationships as well. We must know who we are, where we are, and where we want to go, in relation to our perception of things, to get where we are going or fulfill a life purpose. The Kabbalah is the system in which the painter understands how colors mix together to create other colors, and the pressure and stroke to create specific shadows and light. The canvas is our life, and we are the artist expressing whatever creation we so desire in any given moment, (with full soveriegnty to change direction at any time, I may add!)

I digress...

This post is a celebration of a degree of mastery I feel I have achieved. They say that after 10,000 hours or ten years, one achieves mastery.. or at least can charge a few more bucks for their expertise as a subject matter expert! Now I am by no means saying I am a Master of Kabbalah, but I have to acknowledge that on the Path to Self Mastery, I am getting somewhere. I have learned so much about my self, that I have discovered how to move and dance in this world, to create my dream life, BY CHOICE.

"By Will Alone," we say but then we ACT! We pray, and then ACT! We meditate, and then - you guessed it, we act.

This life is what you make it, and The Universal Hermetic Ray of God is shown in this Blueprint of Creation. It is complex, yet if you learn from the right teacher, it can be shared in a way that meets you where you are. The best way to learn anything of course, is to have an experience, and see it come alive in your own life, through your own mystery, or as we like to say in the Modern Mystery School, "My Story."

Becoming an Adept Initiate in the Lineage of King Salomon was hands down the most empowering decision I have ever made. It changed everything for me. From day one, I took ownership of my thoughts and actions, and began to clean up my side of the fence.

On the Nature of CHOICE.

Yes, No, Sometimes Maybe. We exist to reap the most reward possible at any given moment. Mitigating risk, we evaluate risk weigh between the perceived losses of our imagination, missed opportunities, and delve into doubt at times.

FOMO, as the kids say these days, or the Fear Of Missing Out, often fuels decisions that are based on the ego's negative projections of what one may forfeit by not saying YES. The misunderstood power of NO has so many people blindly following the blind, stemming from a confusion clearly rooted in a lack of self awareness. This ignorance charges the individual to KNOW THYSELF at all cost, especially when the alternatives may bring with them a spiritual hangover!

To Know Thyself is to fully understand one's place in the world, their limitations and strengths, preferences, desires and deal-breakers, and to fully embody that knowing. It challenges one to accept the true keys to the Self which are hidden within the art of Discernment.

As a student of the mysteries, I have found that these teachings weave their way through all schools that drink from the same fountainhead of truth.

Freemasonry teaches the newly Initiated to divide their time into three equal parts; one for labor, one for rest, and the third for Service to God.

Hermetics teaches that through comparing opposites, we come to find balance and that harmony comes from an inner peace with our decisions.

Through a Kabbalistic lens, we learn to develop a sense of equilibrium through the establishment of firm boundaries and a devotion to the Great Work.

In every moment we are given the beautiful responsibility of CHOICE, as was laid down in the divine plan of the Grand Architect. Each and every single choice changes us to our core, at an atomic (Adamic) level. Each cell encoded with the living blueprint of creation is receiving these new choices as coordinates on a map of the Soul's journey back to itself.

Each Yes and Each No getting us either closer or further away from our destination. Yet - there is no "wrong" way, maybe just detours and side quests. Some take the scenic routes, while others take short cuts. Some draw out a plan and stick to it with rigidity, while others make it a Choose Your Own Adventure. Only a few rare misguided Souls are truly lost, and for these we can pray, and try our best to show the way that has brought us fruits, in the hopes they too may desire the same. Many wander, and many more are seeking a clear path back home.

Once found, the choices become easier to recognize, yet more challenging to commit to. Each NO more powerful than the last, as each YES narrows the way, the hero's journey truly and uniquely each our own. Some decisions can seem difficult, as the egoic attachments feel like a death for every one we let go of. These attachments hold us back from our divine purpose. The weigh us down, and we choose to drag them along with us. They are either aligned with our divine purpose or they are not. The more the aspirant knows himself, the clearer this becomes.

In the end, you always have CHOICE. Don't believe the Godless narrative of determinism. No algorithm can ever predict a magician in a state of joy who is perusing the lunch menu at a new cafe! This one life is yours to CREATE! You have the power to command Angels to assist you in your mission, and you do have a contract with God to fulfill!

The CHOICE is YOURS.

Whipped up some appointment cards I’ve been thinking about for a while…

perfectionism really limits my expression at times…

These cards are “good enough” as a first draft - I got them with a finish that allows me to write some info into the hexagon on the back… appt times/date, or contact info, or even a book recommendation.

These should be fun.

It then birthed my DBA, Perceval Guild, which is my construction company.

“You can not give what you do not have” - Dave Lanyon

In yoga you will often hear about filling your cup. This is an amazing visual that everyone can understand and is a deeply Kabbalistic truth.

A stay at home mom knows full well that it is possible to care for three young children, take care of the entire house, cook every meal, and somehow balance the checkbook on her husband’s $40,000 salary.

Yes it is possible to survive under difficult circumstances.

But survival is the BARE MINIMUM. And not what we are here to do.

We are meant to THRIVE!!

We are meant to completely fill our cups with God’s infinite wisdom and understanding and flow these into our world!

In the book of Matthew, Jesus spoke about understanding through parables. He stated of the Mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven; “Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.” Matthew 13:12

He goes on to speak of good seeds and bad, and urges us to be patient, wait for the harvest, and when the time is right, to w**d out the bad from our hearts.

This Path requires Discernment in so many ways and is truly the most important tool the Initiate employs.

You may ask yourself, what do I need to let go of? Do I have a full cup? An empty cup? What is in my cup? Why is this post in my algorithm? Who am I and what am I here to do? Am I doing it? Could I be doing it? Could I have more clarity on these things? Is any of it necessary to living a fulfilled and joyful life? What is joy? What is the difference between joy and happiness?

For so many years, people did not want what I was offering because I did not have it yet. I was offering a way out but had not yet found the exit.

I tell you this with certainty.
I have found what I was looking for so many years ago.
It’s in my heart.
It’s how I view the world.
It’s the faith from a place of knowing.
It’s hope for humanity.
I have these things.
I give of these.
In Service.

BUD HEAVY

Never in a million years would I have thought I’d be apart of one of the toughest group of men I’ve ever met. And that when we break bread we talk about some of the most difficult things that we have endured and how our strong bond of brotherhood has helped us through.

Openly talking about grief as a wave of emotion that comes crashing down without warning, is a powerful metaphor for some of the challenges life throws at us.

Losing a child is par to none. Yet each situation is different. Death comes to every door, and at different times for all of us. But we all walk through that door when she comes, and towards the LIGHT.

Healing is a human experience. Because grief is a human experience. I should be more specific. Because to be human does not mean to have a body. Grief and Healing are actually Physical experiences. Part of being Human. But these emotional experiences do not make us human. We grieve because we believe we are losing a part of ourselves. We feel separated from.

The first grief we all feel is our separation from God when we acquire a Body. We feel lost. To further complicate things, we have software within that body of the grief programmed by our ancestors.

Talk about a HEAVY LOAD!

So what is healing, if it’s a physical process, and how does it relate to being human?

To be Human is to be connected to the Divine. To be One with God. Made in His image. To be Whole.

So to Heal, we must LET GO of what is Not Divine, and LET GOD IN to fill that space with HIS LIGHT.
