Symptoms of CTO can occur at rest or during activity and may include:

❤️ It’s Heart Month! ❤️ Your Heart. Your Health.

It's not hard to believe, but a new study shows increased risks from sedentary lifestyle, particularly that cardiovascular risks increase for people who sit for more than 10.5 hours a day.

What can you do to help your heart? Dr. Joaquin Cigarroa, interventional cardiologist, talked to KXAN News about how small changes can make a big difference when it comes to heart health.

Activity and exercise, movement of any kind. “Just making bite-sized goals is essential for creating momentum for larger changes,” Dr. Cigarroa said. “And so I think setting realistic goals and not trying to bite off too much to chew. I think all in all, you’re setting yourself up for success. And so I think any sort of movement — whether it starts as two minutes or five minutes — I think is very beneficial for your overall health.”
