Are you trying to figure out if Botox and filler will be enough to rejuvenate your eyes or if it’s time for eyelid surgery? Here are 5 things that may help you with your decision:

1️⃣Crow’s feet lines (lines in the lateral corners of the eyes that are more pronounced with squinting or smiling) can usually be improved with Botox.

2️⃣A sunken groove (tear trough) at the inferior border of the lower eyelid along the eyelid/cheek junction can be be due to loss of volume in that area and traction of ligaments due to descent of tissue with age/gravity. Fillers may be used in the tear trough area and/or cheek to correct this and refresh the lower eyelids.

3️⃣Dark circles are very challenging to treat and treatment varies with the cause. Eye creams, lasers, microneedling, fillers, or a combination of these can be used to treat dark circles. However, the results are less predictable than when these same modalities are used to treat wrinkles, skin laxity, or volume loss.

4️⃣Mild lower eyelid skin laxity can be addressed with microneedling, lasers, and radiofrequency treatments, among other things. However, significant amounts of redundant skin will need to be surgically removed.

5️⃣ Significant amounts of excess eyelid fat resulting in “bags” or “puffiness” are best addressed with surgery (upper and/or lower blepharoplasty).

We are loving these breast lift results in my patient. Considering a breast lift? Here are some things you should know:

⬆️ A breast lift (also referred to as a mastopexy) involves removal of excess breast skin but, usually, no breast tissue. If breast tissue is removed, it’s a marginal amount. If you’re happy with your breast volume but just want your breasts to return to a perky, more youthful position, a breast lift may be the right surgery for you.

⬆️ Since either no breast tissue or only a small amount of breast tissue is removed with a breast lift, a breast lift is less likely than a breast reduction to result in improvement in back pain.

⬆️ If your breast tissue is very fatty in nature and you desire more upper pole fullness/cleavage, a breast lift alone may not be enough to achieve your goals. A breast lift + placement of a breast implant (augmentation/mastopexy) may be more appropriate.

⬆️ Breast lift scars are similar to breast reduction scars. “Lollipop” and “anchor” pattern scars are most common.

⬆️ Most patients recovery quickly from this procedure and may feel back to themselves as soon as 1 week after surgery.

Bad plastic surgery is ALWAYS noticeable. But good plastic surgery, which often looks natural, isn’t usually obvious. Quite often, when someone has good plastic surgery, you realize something is different about that person but you can’t put your finger on what. They may just appear to be a better, refreshed, more confident version of themselves.

With that in mind, why would you base your opinion about a plastic surgery treatment or procedure on the unfavorable results you’ve observed? For example, would you base your opinion about pizza only on the bad frozen grocery store pizza you’ve had? (I’ve lived in the both NYC and Chicago, so the thought of people never having experienced good pizza makes me sad.) Then, why do that with plastic surgery? Plastic surgery isn’t for everyone. And I’m not here to convince you that you need plastic surgery. But, I would like your decisions about plastic surgery to be informed and based in accuracy and actuality.

Sometimes, the smallest surgeries make the biggest impact.

This sweet patient of mine was bothered by excess fat and loose skin that have always been present in her upper thighs. This made her self-conscious about wearing swimsuits. She underwent medial thigh liposuction with a crescent medial thigh lift to remove the excess skin. She is thrilled with the results and so are we!

Have you heard about FaceTite?

FaceTite uses radiofrequency (heat energy) technology to melt fat and aid in skin retraction. FaceTite is one of several great options for treating loose skin in the submental (“double chin”) region. It can be combined with liposuction if a significant reduction in fat is also needed. A noticeable difference is usually evident shortly after the treatment. However, it may take months for maximum skin retraction and for you to see your ultimate results.

Here are 5 reasons why a Vitamin C serum is a must-have product in my summer skincare regimen (in addition to sunscreen, of course 😉):

🍊 Vitamin C protects against UV damage and enhances cell turnover

🍊 Vitamin C decreases inflammation

🍊 Vitamin C brightens skin and decreases hyperpigmentation

🍊 Vitamin C hydrates skin

🍊 Vitamin C improves skin tone and promotes collagen formation

Vaginal rejuvenation is such a taboo topic but, ironically, a lot of women inquire about it (for both medical and aesthetic reasons) and experience great benefits from it.

Discussions about vaginal rejuvenation are considered by some as taboo. Many women are hesitant to discuss this topic with their health care providers and friends but ultimately wish they had broached the subject sooner after experiencing great benefits from it.

What is a l***aplasty?
Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure performed on the l***a minora (inner vaginal lips) to reduce their size.

Who is a candidate for a l***aplasty?
Women seek l***aplasty for both medical and aesthetic reasons. Some women have significant redundancy of the l***a minora tissue, making the l***a minora bulky. Other women have l***a minora that hang significantly below the l***a majora (outer vaginal lips). Sometimes, this anatomy is the result of genetics. In other cases, the anatomy was altered when the tissues were stretched during child birth.

Why have a l***aplasty?
Many patients are very self-conscious about the appearance of their l***a. In addition, patients with bulky or hanging l***a minora may experience pinching of the tissue in certain clothing or when participating in exercises such as bike riding. Sexual in*******se can be painful for the same reason. Also, there may be hygiene issues related to the redundant tissue.

What are the benefits of a l***aplasty?
•Reduced pain and discomfort
•Improved hygiene
•Enhanced sexual pleasure
•More comfort in clothing
•Increased confidence
