Cheryl Kraemer, Speech Therapist, LSLS Cert. Auditory-Verbal Educator

Cheryl Kraemer received both her Bachelor of Science degree (with high honors) and her Master of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Texas at Austin. She recently moved back to the Austin area after twenty-three years in practice in North Texas. Cheryl holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech & Hearing Association (ASHA). She has practic

ed in public schools, hospitals, private practice, and home health settings, working primarily with preschool and school-aged children. Cheryl is certified as a Licensed Specialist in Listening and Spoken Language Auditory-Verbal Educator (LSLS AVEd). She has been providing therapy for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing for over eighteen years focusing on the use of cochlear implants and hearing aids. In addition to working with this population (both children and adults), her areas of interest and expertise are early childhood speech and language intervention, receptive and expressive language disorders in school-aged children, phonological process remediation, pragmatic language, and social skills intervention. She is also certified as a Hanen Trainer for the “It Takes Two to Talk” program. Cheryl enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walking, and reading.
