Rounding out an eventful week here at NWHEC. Matt from Sightsavers of America was here to assist children with low vision on how to use devices like the CCTV. We support their mission to improve access to low vision aids! Dr. Miller also gave a talk about low vision to a tech group in Sun City. Awareness is key ✨🔎

The Sight Savers America mission is to provide life-changing vision assistive technology, such as electronic video magnifiers, for every child that needs, but cannot afford, this type of equipment. This life-changing technology allows these children to read, write, complete homework, groom themselves, and even see their loved ones’ faces clearly.

Throwback time! This photo of Dr. Miller was taken 25 years ago while providing low vision services for the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (TSBVI). She recently just spent the last weekend giving lectures for TSBVI about low vision and driving with low vision. We are thankful for Dr. Miller’s long term commitment to low vision services in our community 🙏🏼

We’re excited to continue serving you as we transition our care from the Complete Low Vision Care clinic in Round Rock to our Steck and Pleasant Valley locations.
