Black Maternal Health Week (BMHW), observed annually from April 11–17, is a campaign founded by the Black Mamas Matter Alliance to raise awareness, activism, and community-building to improve Black maternal health outcomes. Black women are over 3x more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than white women, often due to preventable, systemic issues.
PS Visual problems such as glaucoma in Black adults are also less diagnosed and more debilitating. Let’s advocate for those who need us!!
