The Texas Chiropractic Association and TCA District 11 leadership were at Texas Chiropractic College today to speak to the TCC STCA club. TCA Vice President Dr. Andrew Oteo enjoyed his first visit to the TCC campus and sharing his insights on personal branding. A big thank you STCA President Kyle Fish and all the TCC students who made the time to meet with TCA.

September 18 marks Chiropractic Founders Day — the day in 1895 when Dr. Daniel David “D.D.” Palmer delivered what is widely recognized as the first chiropractic adjustment, laying the foundation for a profession that would change the world. 

From that visionary moment in Davenport, Iowa, chiropractic has grown through curiosity, courage, and commitment. D.D. Palmer believed deeply in the body’s natural ability to heal when structure and nerve flow are aligned — ideas that challenged medical norms of his time but opened the way for what chiropractic is today. 

Today the Texas Chiropractic Association carries forward that legacy:
• Protecting the profession’s integrity
• Promoting chiropractic care as a vital part of health and wellness
• Preserving the philosophy and science that started it all

Here’s to D.D. Palmer’s spark, and to every chiropractor who builds on it day by day. Happy Founders Day!
