We’re thrilled to announce that this year’s Beauty of Life Fundraiser will be hosted by two incredible women: Lauren Zima and Kristen Currie! We can’t wait to have them lead us through a morning of inspiration, celebration, and community support.

Lauren is an Emmy Award winning correspondent and TV host who is on the board of a national nonprofit that focuses on children and grief.

Kristen is the morning meteorologist for KXAN News and has been forecasting the wild weather of Central Texas for 6 years.

Join us on Thursday, November 13th at the JW Marriott Austin from 10am to 1pm as we raise funds to ensure compassionate end-of-life care is available to all, regardless of ability to pay.

Last week, Hospice Austin was honored to participate as a vendor at the Parmer Woods at North Austin Brain Health Solutions Expo.

The event highlighted the importance of educating our community on brain health and aging well—with compassionate, high-quality support every step of the way.

Hospice Austin’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Sandra Frellsen, spoke with residents and answered questions about hospice and palliative care, helping to demystify what compassionate end-of-life support truly looks like.

Hospice Austin provides care wherever patients call home—including communities like Parmer Woods at North Austin, which offers assisted living apartments and a specialized memory care program designed to help residents with Alzheimer’s and Dementia stay connected to their everyday lives.

Whether in a residence, facility, or hospital, our mission remains the same: to bring comfort, dignity, and connection to every patient and family we serve.

Hospice is more than care—it’s a promise that begins with compassion and ends with dignity. We honor every choice, every story, every goodbye with grace and respect. As a nonprofit, we strive to provide hospice care to all who need it—even those without insurance—because no one should face the end of life without comfort or connection.

Thanks to the generosity of Austin Community Foundation and its newly launched Forever Austin Fund, Hospice Austin can continue to provide end of life care for those who need it. We’re honored to be named one of the Fund’s first Health & Wellness grantees, helping ensure that care reaches those who need it most in Central Texas.
