🌙 It’s Time for Bed! 🛏️

A good night’s sleep is essential for growing minds and bodies—but winding down at the end of the day, especially when the sun is still shining, can be tricky for little ones.

At our early childhood education center, we know that bedtime routines aren’t always smooth sailing. That’s why we emphasize the power of consistency and calming strategies to help children ease into rest—whether it’s naptime or nighttime.

We love using resources from Sesame Street to help children navigate big feelings, practice calming techniques, and tackle bedtime challenges with a little fun and imagination.

Check out the tips and activities below to help make bedtime more peaceful for your child (and maybe even get yourself a little extra rest too!).

Soothing, predictable, nap and bedtime routines can help children settle down for rest.

Parents are a child's first and most important teacher! Here's today’s helpful tidbit for all families today:

Playful learning doesn’t require the latest and greatest toys and technology. In fact, some of the most meaningful learning happens during open-ended play with simple materials. Cardboard boxes, blocks, fabric scraps, and nature items like sticks and stones can spark creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration in ways that electronic toys often can’t. When children are given the freedom to explore, imagine, and invent, they build critical thinking skills and confidence—all through play 👧🏽🧒🏼👦🏻

🚨 BURN BAN IN EFFECT 🚨

Effective immediately, I am issuing a burn ban across all of Hays County for the next 7 days. While we appreciate everyone following our previous burn advisory, the increased fire risk from high winds, freeze-cured grasses, and prolonged low humidity makes this ban necessary.

Please continue to follow all local guidelines and help keep our community safe! Stay tuned for updates.
