New NCLEX Test Plans Now in Effect

Beginning April 1, 2026 (today, no joke), the new NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN test plans are in effect. This is important for nursing students, educators, and new graduates preparing for licensure. NCSBN notes that the updated plans reflect current practice analyses and include exam content guidance and clinical judgment information.

Yesterday, Health Advocacy Honor Students and Policy & Leadership Honors Students from UTMB visited TNA.

They joined us to learn more about healthcare policy and the legislation shaping the nursing profession. During their visit, they toured TNA Headquarters and explored our Nightingale Library—flipping through historic Texas Nursing Magazine issues and the American Journal of Nursing, including a 1907 edition, the same year the Texas Graduate Nurses’ Association (now TNA) was founded.

We also had a great discussion on TNA’s lasting impact on the profession and how nursing continues to evolve over time.
