Texas NeuroRehab Center is a specialized treatment facility located ten minutes from downtown Austin that has offers inpatient and outpatient services for individuals with brain injury and medically complex challenges. Physicians are on the medical staff of Texas NeuroRehab Center, but, with limited exceptions, are independent practitioners who are not employees or agents of Texas NeuroRehab Center. Today, we celebrated Ana Fernandez for her 20 years of service with us! Ana is a cherished RN on our Bluebonnet unit and an essential part of our team.

Exciting progress is underway! Construction on our new 16-bed unit is moving forward, and we’re on track for a Spring 2026 opening. 🏗️ This expansion will allow us to serve even more individuals in need of compassionate, high-quality care.

We’re grateful for the incredible support from our local partners who help make growth like this possible. Stay tuned for more updates!

Join us at Texas NeuroRehab Center on September 13–14, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for a hands-on clinical FEES training. This course is open to those who have completed the didactic portion of Introduction to FEES within the past 18 months.

✔️ Complete 25 normal passes.
✔️ Stay for one or both days.
✔️ Lunch included.
✔️ ASHA CEU provider.

We’re proud to announce the groundbreaking of our brand-new 16-bed inpatient rehab unit! This expansion reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional care and personalized treatment for individuals recovering from brain injuries, spinal cord injuries and other neurological conditions. Our CEO, Ed Prettyman, Psy.D., was on hand to help put the first shovels in the ground.

We’re growing to better serve you—and we can’t wait to continue this journey together!

Q: What inspired you to become a nurse?
A: "Seeing my grandmother care for others while growing up, I've always felt the need to care for others."

Q: What’s one of the most rewarding moments you’ve experienced as a nurse at TNC?
A: "Seeing one of my first patients as a young nurse go from not being able to communicate to being able to vocalize to me how much my laughter helped them get through some of the toughest days."

Q: What’s your go-to food after a long shift?
A: "I love grabbing food from 54 or Torchy's."

Q: What’s the funniest thing that has happened to you on a shift?
A: "Being out of the loop on a mock code, running across campus only to find a CPR doll lying on the ground in the heat!"
