Most people try to out-rest fatigue.

More sleep, more caffeine, cleaner eating, less stress.
Sometimes that helps. A lot of times, it doesn’t.

Because fatigue is how well your body is actually producing and using energy.

If that system is off, you can do all the “right” things and still feel like you’re running low.

Instead of pushing through it, we look at what’s underneath (digestion, circulation, nervous system, inflammation) and start there!

If your energy hasn’t been making sense lately, it’s worth a closer look. Book your session with us ✨

This is what’s happening when you get acupuncture:

When a needle is placed into the tissue, it triggers a cascade of physiological changes…

We see:
⭐️ shifts in neurotransmitters and hormones
⭐️ regulation of the inflammatory response
⭐️ increased brain activity in specific regions (confirmed by fMRI)
⭐️ a faster healing response compared to routine care

In other words, it’s increased communication.

The needle is a signal, and your body responds by adjusting, regulating, and repairing.

The pattern is clear: when the body gets the right signal, it responds by regulating and repairing.

Muscle spasms. Chocolate cravings. Chronic constipation.

When those show up together, it’s often pointing to one thing: magnesium deficiency.

Magnesium is involved in hundreds of processes in the body, but a big one is how your muscles contract and relax.

When levels are low, muscles tend to stay tight → spasms, cramping, that “can’t fully release” feeling.

The chocolate craving piece isn’t random either! Dark chocolate is one of the most magnesium-rich foods, so your body will often push you toward it when you’re depleted.

And constipation? Same thing. Magnesium helps draw water into the intestines and supports proper motility. Without enough of it, things slow down.

It’s a small mineral that affects a lot.

If you’re noticing this pattern, it might be worth looking a little deeper, not just managing symptoms, but addressing what’s underneath.

If meditation isn’t working for your anxiety, there may be more going on underneath it.

We worked with a 32-year-old entrepreneur who came in dealing with pretty constant anxiety and a lingering cough that wouldn’t go away.

He had already been trying a lot of the right things: meditation, breathwork, mindset work… but he couldn’t seem to get his system to actually settle.

That combination often points to something physical driving the symptoms.

When the lungs and digestion aren’t functioning well, it can show up not just as congestion or coughing, but also as anxiety, brain fog, or a general feeling of being on edge.

We focused on acupuncture and herbal therapy to help clear the phlegm and support the systems responsible for regulating it.

After about five treatments, the cough had mostly resolved and the anxiety improved quite a bit.

Sometimes the missing piece isn’t trying harder to calm your mind. It’s helping the body regulate the systems underneath it.

Low back pain often gets treated by focusing on inflammation alone.

But in practice, one of the biggest contributors we see is muscular guarding after an injury. The surrounding muscles tighten to protect the area, and if that pattern sticks around long enough, those muscles stop functioning normally.

That’s where approaches like dry needling, acupuncture, and cupping can play an important role. Instead of only calming symptoms, the goal is to help restore proper muscle activation, circulation, and nervous system balance so the body can move and heal the way it’s designed to.

It’s a more functional approach to recovery.

TMJ is one of those conditions that often gets treated only at the site of pain… the jaw.

But in practice, we frequently see it as part of a larger nervous system pattern.

When the body stays in a heightened stress response, certain muscle groups tend to remain contracted. The jaw, neck, and upper traps are some of the most common places this shows up. Over time that can lead to clenching, headaches, and persistent facial or neck tension.

In those cases, the goal isn’t necessarily aggressive work around the jaw. It’s helping the nervous system shift out of that constant “on” state so the muscles can release naturally.

Acupuncture is particularly effective here because it works on both the local tissue and the nervous system regulation underneath it.

For patients dealing with TMJ, headaches, or chronic jaw tension, that system-level shift can make a meaningful difference.

Herniated discs are one of the most over-feared diagnoses in sports medicine.

We recently worked with a 33-year-old triathlete with a 3-year history of low back pain. He had already tried steroid injections and was told surgery might be next.

The issue wasn’t just the disc. The surrounding muscles had been guarding the injury for years. When muscles stay in protective spasm, they stop functioning correctly. That perpetuates pain.

When he came to us for support, we used:
🌱 Dry needling to restore muscle contraction
🌱 Acupuncture to calm nerve irritation
🌱 Cupping therapy to increase blood flow

He experienced immediate pain reduction and improved function!

Low back pain treatment doesn’t have to jump straight to surgery. There are other layers to address first. Schedule a consultation with us!
