Dr. Hammel is co-founder of the Neurobehavioral Institute of Austin and a licensed psychologist who provides psychological and neuropsychological assessment and testing, forensic psychological services, as well as clinical supervision and psychotherapy.

Dr. Hammel works with a diverse population of all ages. His specialties include ADHD, learning disabilities, mood disorders (anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder), trauma, thought disorders, behavioral disorders, adoption and foster care, and others. Dr. Hammel also has a specialized interest and expertise in mental giftedness and gifted education.

Psychological Assessment, Counseling and Psychiatric Services

Here at NBA we aim to assess and treat mental health concerns, as well as educational barriers, in a warm and friendly environment. We are a group of mental health clinicians that provide services ranging from psychological assessments, counseling, medication management, and holistic psychiatry, to name a few.
