Hi Everyone! Last weeks Wellness is Wealth Wednesday turned out amazing. Its fascinating how often as women we have been so programmed to accepting trauma that we forget how abnormal and unhealthy it is ,but not all women keep quiet. We are all long over due to take a moment to celebrate how our traumas have made us who we are, to bash silence and celebrate healing, to communicate amongst our lovers and friends and family and remember the stories our mothers and grandmothers and great grandmothers were not allowed to tell until they were older. We are celebrating a womans gift and right to be a vessel and determine the necessary moment for transitioning life whether in this realm or another; most importantly we are awakening to a movement amongst the masses to facilitate a space for men and women to celebrate, collaborate, and redefine their traumas and the traumas of those we love. We are birthing our ancestors and we are inviting you to be apart of our photo exhibition and art fundraiser party in collaboration with international photographer and documentarian, Alexandra Dietz.

The evening will include a silent auction of donated art, a photo exhibition of doulas in their n**e canvass who have experienced womb trauma, a short film, vegan desserts, and dj/performances. We can't wait to see you!

Happy Earth Day friends!! Give thanks for the original Womb mama earth! We are currently working on a fundraising party for the end of June so that we continue our art therapy group monthly.

Birthing Our Ancestors provides free art therapy sessions for women who have experienced womb trauma. We discuss our trauma, and introduce a new medium of art every month to learn the rhythms of what helps us heal. Each event we serve a full course vegan meal and invite Male allies, artists, and birth workers to join us to be apart of the healing process and normalizing the discussion of womb trauma ,because the events are free for survivorship of the art therapy we ask for donations and are designing an art exhibition and short documentary on womb trauma survivors and how they used art as a medium to surviving we are currently seeking 3 more birth workers who are willing to be open about their trauma and process through photographs and interviewed account. These photographs will be used for our photo exhibition at our fundraising event. We appreciate your sensitivity and dedication to educating our society passed societal standards to fulfill the message of art based healing and re introducing the connection between trauma and our ability to heal holistically

Someone asked me today, "how did you become a death doula" and honestly. I've never thought about the fact that being a birthing doula and a spontaneous/elective abortion doula is very similar to being a death doula. I told them, sure I transition souls to be born in this realm and some of them don't make it here ,but either way the fascination with soul transition is what makes doula work so interacting for me. I do see myself working with the elderly one day helping them prepare for transition ,but in a sense that's what I'm doing. Maybe the space in which they transition is different? Idk that question made me think about the difference between life and death through the eyes of soul.

When babies are being transitioned into this life do they realize that they are being born? Or do they feel as if they are dieing? I guess babies are process that is most familiar ,because I am closer to being a child transitioning that I am to when I died in a past life?
