I was born and raised in places all over New York for a portion of my childhood. Than my family moved to Springfield Missouri to start a farm. After years of doing this we realized it wasn’t for us and we later sold the Farm.
I learned a lot from the Farm Life and love hard work and also do love getting my hands dirty.
I always wanted to do Massage Therapy so I could help my mom not be in pain anymore (she had severe Sciatic Nerve pain she struggled with).
When we moved to "Town " in Missouri I chose to enroll in Professional Massage Training Center.
The course was very thorough, it required 1000 hours and unlike most states they required you to pass the National Exam (NCBTMB).
I moved to Texas almost 8 years ago with a good friend and realized very quickly that Texas Therapists dont have to go through nearly the amount of schooling I did. This allowed me to be picky and every place I walked into I was offered a job on the spot. I was able to choose where I wanted to work and provide my services at based off of this. I am very lucky and blessed that I was in Missouri at that time to get my Massage Therapy Training in a place that required higher education for Therapists.
I have obtained my Teaching Adult Learners Certification in Massage Thearpy and have taught Professional Classes for companies for their New Hires.
I have stepped away from teaching currently and am just providing Bodywork.
I love to educate my clients on the things they can do on their own, in-between sessions with me.
I can help you get more in touch with your bodies reactions to Chronic or Acute injuries or even if you just want to get some solid Massage Therapy sessions to relax, rejuvenate and realign your body, mind, and soul.
I love to do Deep Tissue bodywork , But can do a Full Body Chakra Alignment or a Cranial Sacral session to clear up the Energetic blockages you may have that are connected to other parts of your mind and body.
I spent a large portion of my time at the Chiropractic office I worked for providing Migraine Relief that included a 45 minute Head, Face and neck treatment and used Intra Oral work for TMJD (Temporal Mandibular Joint Dysfunction).
Intra Oral work is where I wear a glove and work inside the mouth to get a deeper release of the internal Jaw muscles. Usually this service isn't the first session I offer someone when I began to work with them.
I would love to work with you and I am sure you will be pleased with the work I provide.
I also will be offering Assisted Stretching Classes and Movement Education. This is tied into my trainings in Thai Massage and my knowledge of the human body. I also have been an avid Yogi for years.
I have gotten out of my daily practice with Yoga and am very thrilled to get back into it with you all. I invite EVERYONE of any fitness level to take my class. You do not need to be "flexible" to join me on the mat. That is the whole point of these classes.
I will work through an hour long routine, with minimal Yoga Poses, just so we can all learn to properly master each pose. You will not be rushed when you are taking my Injury Prevention Yoga classes.
I lean more towards a Hatha Yoga Class, which is all about mastering the pose, and breathing within the pose to allow for a deeper and more lasting stretch to your body. We take it easy in my classes, but you will still feel sore, like you got a workout the next day. We are just going to do it safely!
I will be offering Northern Style Thai Massage Sessions as well, For this, you are clothed, on a mat , and I administer Yoga Stretches to your body.
I am trained in a lot of different Modalities so if there is one you haven't been able to try, I would love to be the first one to show you how effective it can be for you .
I will look forward to meeting you soon and getting acquainted.
