Prevent spit-up & fussiness with proper burping techniques!

While every baby is different, here are some tips you can try next time you are burping your little one:

🍼 Over-the-shoulder: support your baby on one hand while you hold them against your shoulder. Pat their backs firmly but gently with your other hand. Holding them up straight can help the trapped air scape.

🍼 Sitting up: if your baby is ready to hold their head, this position can better for them. Hold them on your knee and gently pat their back.

🍼 Tummy on one hand: Lay your baby across your hand and forearmon their stomach. Pat their back gently.

Always have a cloth ready their spit up! If you want to know more and develop techniques that fit you and your baby best, reach out and book an appointment!

Which world are we living in? 🤯 This week, I had a double eye-opener. First, learning midwives in the US are being ARRESTED just for doing their job. 💔 As a midwife for 21 years across 3 countries, this hit me hard. Then, my friend reminded me it’s even worse for Black and Brown midwives. How can this be happening? It’s devastating for women and babies. Huge thanks to Elaine Epstein for raising awareness. To all birth workers: THANK YOU. To every woman: you deserve empowerment and support. Find your team! Now I have this questions in my mind…What can we do to change this? Let’s talk about it.

Worried about supply? 💧

You’re not alone! Boosting your milk naturally can be done! My top tips:

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Think water, herbal teas, and even bone broth.
Eat and snack frequently healthy prot and fat : - Oatmeal is your friend! This lactation superfood is packed with nutrients. Try overnight oats or a warm bowl in the morning.   - Healthy fats! Avocado, nuts, and seeds are great additions to your diet.
Sleep is important , nap during the day as much as you can...What are your favorite lactation-boosting snacks? Share in the comments! 👇

🍼 Breast milk storage made easy! Knowing how long you can safely store your pumped milk helps keep your baby healthy and nourished. Here’s a quick guide to storing breast milk at room temperature, in the fridge, and in the freezer. ❄️

✨ Freshly pumped: Up to 4 hours on the counter, 4 days in the fridge, and best within 6 months in the freezer (acceptable up to 12 months).
🚫 Thawed milk: Use within 1-2 hours at room temp, up to 24 hours in the fridge, and NEVER refreeze!
⏳ Leftover from feeding? Use within 2 hours after baby is done.

Save this for later and share with a fellow mama! 💕
