Ensemble Learning Center is excited to welcome you to our upcoming virtual workshop: "Ethical Decision Making Models: Compasses to Navigate Play Therapy Practice," presented by Joy Cannon LPC-S RPT-S.
This professional workshop is designed to support your growth as you:
- Utilize 2 structured decision-making models for ethical dilemmas commonly encountered in play therapy.
- Critique your own choices, policies and practices for alignment with the Association for Play Therapy’s Best Practices, ACA Code of Ethics and relevant state regulations.
- Identify cultural and developmental considerations of ethical decision-making processes involving children and families in play therapy.
You’ll leave with practical tools and guidance to navigate ethical challenges. Through small group work, lecture, and (yes) play, participants will reexamine relevant standards (the 2014 ACA Code of Ethics and the Association for Play Therapy’s Best Practice Guidelines) along with evidence-based decision making models to better respond to dilemmas in play therapy. We’ll finish with an Ethics Jeopardy Game and a deeper sense of confidence in your work. ✨
