I've had moments in my life that I knew would change the course of my life. I remember deciding whether to move to Austin from San Diego in 2017. I felt in my heart that I needed to make a move, but habits and my history said, "Carlsbad is beautiful, and you might regret it."

It has been 8 years, and making that big move is one of the best decisions I have ever made.

How do you make a big decision?

Here are two tips:

Human Design Emotionally Defined

I have learned that I need to allow my emotional wave to settle, and then I fall into my clarity. What was the average feeling after I factored out the highs and lows? That may sound complex, and you aren't emotionally defined according to Human Design.

True Self Alignment

Here is another way that has served me.... tune into my True Self and bring to mind and heart a moment when I felt fulfilled, satisfied, successful, and maybe even loved. Those moments are what I call True Self-aligned moments. Once my True Self is present, I ask, "Is this for my highest and best good to do? Will I be happy?"

I am enjoying a ski week in Snowbird, Utah, with my son this week. I taught him to ski when he was 4 years old, and now, at 29, he is literally skiing circles around me. One of the things I am reflecting on is the benefit of small things over time and how they build up. Who would know that skiing has become a lifetime enjoyment for my son and me? We enjoy each other's company and have something in common.

Today, I was reflecting on my 90-day intention that I set at the beginning of April. When I wrote it down, I recall the feeling of peace and the relief of imagining myself completing it. You may know that "relief" is not a high-vibration emotion, and it is far better to lean into joy as it uplifts and inspires.

Then I realized I had forgotten to assess the difficulty level and desirability, which are essential for manifesting things gracefully and effortlessly.

In this context, the difficulty level is 1, which is very easy; I could do it in a flash. A 10 is, oh my goodness, this is daunting; this is difficult.

I bring this up because my intention was to create a new copy for my website, and the excitement of having that done overrode my assessment of the difficulty. I had two big deadlines. I had to file taxes in the United States by April 15 and submit 2 practice readings for my certification in Human Design to be a reader for Manifestors.

My current commitments affect the difficulty because time and focus are elsewhere.

Remember to assess the difficulty next time you set a bigger intention for greater success in your manifesting. Also, make sure you’re asking how desirable it is.

Also, another Manifesting Tip: don't set an intention if your desirability is less than 10 because if you achieve it, you may not be so happy, haha.

How can we be gentle on ourselves when we don't feel we're living up to our potential? I have noticed that when I feel like I am letting myself down, I can be very hard on myself. I can be supercritical about everything I haven't done, have regrets, and catastrophize the future.

A quick reset for me is to tap into what I am doing well, even if it is small. If I can feel even just a bit of self-gratification, it uplifts my energy, which also opens me up to receiving.

Think about it. If we are Debbie Downer to ourselves, we are discounting and dismissing our being very damagingly. Why would the universe give us anything more to be critical of? We basically have shut off the tap of grace and ease.

Another side benefit of tapping into an attitude of gratitude is that, over time, it builds immunity to negativity in the world, especially in our minds.

Let's align with our true Selves to stay in our power together.

Kickstart Your Dream retreat reflections... on Sunday,

I was honored to facilitate the Kickstart Your Dream retreat with a group of ambitious, loving entrepreneurs.

My takeaway was that we can uplevel and that learning is not a "one-and-done " process. We are always growing and refining, and when we take a moment to look into nature and breathe, it helps lift us out of mundane daily life and gives energy to our dreams.
