My son likes to “make movies” and he wanted us to make one together. So on Earth Day, I present to you this masterpiece based on a true story : Wet My Plants 🌱
🌍 Backyard gardens are a great way to support Mama Earth.
🦋They support biodiversity of pollinators, birds and insects, and increases naturally occurring forms of pest control.
🌱Growing your own food in local soil can help give you more of the vitamins and minerals we need. These nutrients start to degrade once fruits and veggies are harvested, so picking and eating within hours gives you more nutrient dense foods.
🤝 You grow peaches, your neighbor grows basil. Trade-sies on the overflow is a beautiful way to build community.
🛻 Composting and backyard gardening practices help the environment. Plants sequester carbon in their roots and the soil, and we’re reducing “food miles”. Local food = less trucks, which means less emissions.
