Inspired by my own mother and grandmother’s journeys with cancer I opened Cancer Rehab Austin in January of 2016.
We offer physical therapy, lymphedema treatment, acupuncture, massage therapy, skin care services, aromatherapy consults, exercise classes, nutritional consults and healing seminars, to help survivors, thrivers, and caregivers. “Having been an oncology physical therapist for almost a decade in the hospital setting, I saw a need for a more holistic and multidisciplinary approach to recovery. Thankfully the treatment of cancer is starting to move more towards quality of life and addressing the entire person, not just their cancer. That mission is at the heart of CRIM ”

• Pelvic floor dysfunction
• Changes in desire or sensation
• Body image and confidence concerns

Grief doesn’t follow a schedule — and it doesn’t disappear just because the holidays are over.
For many people impacted by cancer, grief can show up quietly in January: in the stillness, the cold, and the return to routine. This is normal. There is no “right way” to grieve, and no timeline you’re expected to follow.
If you’re carrying loss alongside healing, you’re not alone. Support, reflection, and gentleness still matter — long after the holidays end.
💛 We’re holding space for you.

✨ Why We’re So Excited to Introduce (and Re-Introduce) Erin ✨
We are incredibly proud to now offer pelvic floor and s*xual health therapy for cancer survivors — and even more grateful to do this work with Erin.
Erin (she/her) is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, a certified pelvic health PT, and a certified s*xuality counselor who supports clients in rediscovering comfort, confidence, and connection in their bodies and intimate lives after cancer.
Her work is s*x-positive, trauma-informed, and deeply inclusive, offering a safe and affirming space for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ individuals, kinky folks, lifestylers, and s*x workers. With a background as a yoga teacher, Erin thoughtfully weaves the mind–body connection into her care, meeting each person exactly where they are.
Sexual health is often overlooked in cancer care — yet it’s a vital part of quality of life, healing, and identity. Being able to offer this level of specialized, compassionate support to survivors is a huge step forward, and one we don’t take lightly.
💛 We’re honored to have Erin as part of our team and excited to make this care accessible to our community.

Navigating Grief During the Holidays
The holiday season can bring a mix of emotions for anyone impacted by cancer — especially when loss is part of your story. In the article “How I Navigate Grief and the Holidays After Cancer Loss,” the author shares a deeply personal reflection on how grief and joy can coexist, how traditions may feel different, and how gentle rituals and self-care can help honor both love and loss this time of year. The piece reminds us that grief is a natural, complex human experience — and that it’s okay to feel both sorrow and gratitude as you move through the season.
