🎨🎯 Rose’s Creative Corner turned into a masterpiece and a mini adventure today!

Kenneth and Linda kicked off the morning painting colorful stones and the cutest wooden teddy bears you’ve ever seen! 🧸To be continued with final touches! 🎨 Then we headed outdoors for some fresh air and fun — including a little friendly target practice! 🎯💥 Let’s just say... our aim was on point and so was the laughter! 😄💛

🍕🎉 Pizza Party Vibes! 🎉🍕

We celebrated National Pizza Party Day the yummiest way—with a delicious lunch from Mr. Gatti’s Pizza, and oh honey, we had options! 👏

Thanks to the generosity of Mardi Benedict at Valerian Home Health and Hospice, we were treated to three kinds of pizza:
🧀 Classic Cheese
🍕 Pepperoni
🍔 Hamburger

And let’s not forget the fresh salad on the side to balance all that cheesy goodness! 🥗✨

Our residents were grinning from ear to ear—there’s just something about pizza that brings folks together. 💛

🌞🍃 Fresh Air & Sunshine Vibes! 🍃🌞

Today was all about fun in the sun as we stepped outside to soak up the beauty of nature. The birds were singing, the trees were dancing in the breeze, and that fresh air? Absolutely dreamy! 🐦🌿💨

We sat back, relaxed, and just took it all in—some of us almost drifted off with that soft wind rocking us like a lullaby! 😴💛

It’s amazing what a little time in nature can do for the soul.

💪🧠 Move & Groove + Brain Boost! 🧠💪

We got the blood pumpin’ and the brains jumpin’ this morning with some energizing full-body seated exercises followed by a fun round of Trivia Time! 🪑🎉

From toe taps to arm stretches, we kept it moving with big smiles and upbeat tunes. Then we switched gears and tested our knowledge with a little friendly trivia—lots of laughs, great guesses, and even a few surprise smarty-pants in the room! 😄🧩🎶

🎉 BINGO Fun with Katrina! 🎉

After yesterday’s arts & crafts, Katrina stuck around to call a few lively rounds of BINGO with us—and we had a blast! 🖍️➡️🅱️🔢

🎨🍪 Crafts, Cookies & Good Vibes! 🍪🎨

Yesterday's Crafts with Katrina was extra sweet because we celebrated National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day too! 🍫🥳

We sipped on milk, popcorn, and juice (cranberry or apple—fancy, right? 😉) while munching on delicious, gooey chocolate chip cookies that hit the spot! 🍪🥛🍿

Then it was time to get creative! Everyone picked up their paintbrushes and colored their hearts out on fun, summertime wooden crafts—think sunshine, flip-flops, and beachy dreams! Thank you Aspen Hospice and Palliative Care North for all that you do! 🌞🎨🌊

💅✨ Primp & Pamper Time! ✨💅

Yesterday, It was a day of TLC and twinkles for our lovely Ms. Lindas! These queens deserved the royal treatment, and that’s exactly what they got. 🛁👑

We cleaned, clipped, filed, and polished with care—and the results? Gorgeous!

💎 One Ms. Linda went full glam with a smokey gray polish and glitter on every finger—she came to slay!
🌹 The other kept it classy with a light maroon and just a touch of sparkle on one accent nail—subtle, yet stunning!

There’s nothing like a little self-care to make the soul shine. 💖

🎨💐 Creative Flow with Ms. Linda 💐🎨

Today was full of color, creativity, and heart in Rose’s Creative Corner! I spent some sweet time with the lovely Ms. Linda, and we got into all kinds of artistic fun!

We started with swirl painting—mixing up vibrant colors with shaving cream to create mesmerizing patterns. 🌀✨ Then, Ms. Linda put the finishing touches on her beautiful Mother’s Day wind chime, adding a personal flair that made it shine. 💖🔔

To top it all off, we dove into some wood craft painting, where her creativity continued to blossom. It was a joy watching her express herself through each brushstroke!

Every piece tells a story—and today’s was full of joy, love, and color. 🌈

💅🍊 Primp & Pamper at Rose’s Nail Salon 🍊💅

Today’s spa vibes were in full effect as I got to treat the lovely Ms. Barbara to a refreshing nail session in Primp and Pamper!

We started with a good cleaning, trim, and file, making sure everything was smooth and tidy… then came the fun part—polish time! 🎨✨ Ms. Barbara picked out a bright, beautiful orange that suits her vibrant spirit perfectly.

There’s nothing like a fresh coat of confidence and a little one-on-one time to brighten the day! 🧡

🎨🌀 Swirls, Smiles & Creative Vibes! 🌀🎨

Today in Rose’s Creative Corner, I had the pleasure of creating with the fantastic artist Mr. Kenneth! Together, we explored the fun world of swirl painting using shaving cream, paint, Q-tips, and clothespins—and let me tell you, the colors weren’t the only thing shining! 🫧✨

Mr. Kenneth’s eye for color and detail is something special, and his artwork always brings the canvas to life. After our swirl session, we kept the creativity flowing with some wood craft painting, adding even more flair to the day.

Art, laughter, and good company—what more could we ask for? 💫

Colonial Gardens Memory Care

Welcome to our page! We would love for you to take a minute and look around at some of the exciting things that are happening in our Community. Colonial Gardens is a home-like Community who specializes in Dementia/Alzheimer’s. We have 2 separate houses with 16 private apartments in each home. We have age and Dementia appropriate activities daily, with live entertainers every week. Is happy hour your thing? Well then this is the place for you! We have weekly happy hour for our residents. Maybe your loved one likes to spend their time alone working in a garden? Then you need to come visit our Community. We are nestled inside of a residential neighborhood, on a magnificent lot with over 150 Oak Trees, 9 raised flower beds, and endless gardening opportunities. There are crushed granite walking trails throughout our backyards with ample amount of shade provided by our beautiful trees. Come take a peak at our beautiful spa room with a walk-in whirlpool bath tub. This is country living at its best!
